I’ll be passing on chip bundles for a while. Especially when it’s a character core for a bot I don’t have a 4* version of.

If you’re going to spend you’re better off with a FC and coin bundle and spend it grinding out xp on a weekend.

 

I’m trying really hard not to spend money on this game lol, but it’s so tempting when I only have 3-3* and zero 4* cons. Will def be hitting a wall soon.

 

I brought 2 $19 one for each side. Autobot I ended up with 2 silver and 3 bronze on the con side I got 3 bronze I think.

 

I quit messing around with the Cons on my Autobot account. All it ended up being was a waste of fuel cells and spark trying to level bots that I couldn't even war with. I certainly wouldn't spend money trying to acquire Cons on my 'Bot account.

 

I mess around with my Cons during individual events. They aren't taking fuel cells away from anyone except the 2* Autobots I haven't maxed out yet.

 

Well in order to battle for resources while my cons are recovering I do use my bots, also for grinding out events! I def won’t spend to acquire more, but they do their job.

My roster is still pretty weak overall, and avoiding a big buy is tough

 

I usually coin cooldowns during events to try and level stuff with every fuel cell I have. Even if I'm not, its a use of FC that could be spent gaining xp on new or war bots.

I could see it for gaining resources at lower levels but once you're running 4 teams in z12 and 1 in z13, it's not really worth it.

 

If you're bypassing cooldowns with coins, then yeah messing with Cons doesn't make sense. I don't coin though.

 

I could definitely see it if it was for resource gathering during the week, but IMO it doesn't make sense during an event. You can easily burn through fuel cells and have cooldowns happen before FC can fully regenerate which means it always makes sense to use FC on bots that need the XP. I generally power level every event(in z11 or 12) except maybe a LB event where I want the points for z12-13.

I generally only coin cooldowns on 2 bot power level teams, and almost never on full 7 bot squads as its too costly. I run one trainer and one training bot in z11 or 12 depending on what bots I'm running. A cooldown is generally 70-ish coins to skip a 2 bot cooldown (lvl 57 kup and and, say a lvl 52 gunner). It lets me focus on one to two bots when needed. The only time I coin full squads is if I activate a combiner during a war and want to run through the bases before my 15 minutes is up. Ore is harder to come by sometimes.

 

Right, but only have about 6 squads worth of bots that need the XP. The upper tier (top 3 squads) take between 45 minutes and an hour to cool down, which means that fuel cell recharge takes as long as the bot cooldown. So what I do is burn through 9 squads when I wake up, and then focus on the top 3-6 squads the rest of the day. I don't need resources (storages are maxed 99% of the time), and events give extra XP, so for me it makes more sense to do it during the event. During an individual event, I usually have my 8th and 9th squads be Decepticons to take advantage of that. They only get used maybe 8 times total the entire weekend.

If I didn't use the fuel cells on my 8th or 9th squads at the start of the day, they'd go to waste due to the time it takes my strongest bots to cooldown. At least this way I have something to show for them.

Indy event this weekend. 800 4* shards as prizes. They are definitely increasing these.

 

And amazingly 17k spark.

 

one of the officers in my alliance has been getting onto me about hoarding my spark. but honestly, there are several 4* bots I don't have yet that would get more use out of it.

 

It seems the more you get the less you want to use it. I took Star Saber to SA8 recently (250k) and it wiped me out. I’m saving to take jazz to SA7 and am 15k away. I’ll probably get there before the weekend from wars but the spark will be nice nonetheless.

 

I will wait and see over the next few weeks. This could just be them making up for the lack of shards last weekend. But I hope you're right!

 

Star Saber and Jazz are both 4*s I don't have but will definitely take to 7 or 8 when I get them.

 

Event at SA6 with the VM core he can pop beams and launchers. It’s even better when they’re clustered and you can eat he them all pop.



As for Saber, he’s a pretty amazing bot. Great range and melts all sorts of stuff. He can solo most z12 bases.
