Mp1 and mp5 Megatron are my only ones. Mp1 came first when he got his Wal-Mart release. I looked at them as centerpiece items of my collection. Not the best playwise and in fact are borderline awful. But they would look great on the top shelf overlooking everything.

This is almost exactly my story, just a different beach. For $15, I couldn't pass it up. (Since then, I bought Prowl and Bluestreak for $35 each at TRU. And so ends my tale of official MP purchases.)

My first, and only for a long time, was Silverstreak, because I had a Datsun Z car when I was younger.

It was the Asian TRU soundwave. He looked like a great starting off point to get into TF collecting, especially since he came with 5 cassettes.

My first Masterpiece was MP17 Prowl.

I've been a Transformers fan since the eighties, but only started collecting at the end of 2012.

Being new to Transformers collecting, I had no clue as to where to buy from or what series to buy.
I honestly don't even remember where I bought MP17 from, though I think it was a seller on Ebay. I later purchased a second Prowl from a TFW2005 board member, since I questioned the authenticity of that first Prowl.

I was directed to this board for collecting advice by a person on a different (and I think now defunct) board. I also was directed to the far more stellar places to purchase Transformers Collectibles.

All Masterpiece purchases after Prowl were made at BBTS and TFS, until I was directed to HLJ.

My most treasured Masterpiece is Sideswipe, since he's always been my favorite. I think I have collected every one of his Masterpiece releases.

My very first purchased Transformers collectible was Asterisk Sunstreaker. I still have him displayed. :)

Lol, take a look at this thread: TakaraTomy Masterpiece Dinobot
This was a huge point of discussion/ contention when first announced. I'll let someone else give you a better answer

Also, others will say he is available for cheaper from JP sites, which is true. However, that being said with the worsening yen to dollar conversion rate, the current lowest price for him which includes shipping to the U.S. is a little over $200 and it may go higher by the time he is released.

20th Anniversary Optimus Prime for me.

I couldn't afford either MP-1 or MP-4 at the time, so $80 was a good sweet spot for me.

    MP-13 was my gateway drug.

Still love him (and his crew).

20th anniversary Optimus was my first foray into MP collecting. Been hooked ever since that early 2000's release. Had both black and the grey gun versions. Sold the grey gun one at a toy show several years ago.

As many others, 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime. Why because it was the only one for several years available stateside.

The Hasbro release of MP Bluestreak for me, and pretty much the only MP figure that I currently have in my small collection. The only reason I even get the figure because the figure is on a Toys R Us clearance sale with 50% off.

I won't mind to have more MP figures, but none of them are really worth their full price tags without some major discount in my opinion.

Optimus Primal was my first one. Wasn't really interested in the line when it was just G1 characters.

MP Wheeljack. Prowl has always been my favorite, but they nailed the design on Wheeljack and it looked awesome. Prowl was second.

Going through the list of Masterpiece figures i have noticed there is no MP Blaster, it would look cool to pose Blaster and Soundwave together with their cassette.

    MP10.

He holds a lot of sentimental value.

Hasbro's MP-01. As others have said, it was cheaper than ordering the Takara version. During the days of Alternators, he stood proudly on that shelf, along with Takara's blue Starscream.

I sold him, though (kept the 20th Ann. version). Hasbro's MP-10 is just so much better...

MP-1, because it was the only one out at the time and was incredible!

    All the best
