Pittsfield Walmart had one Hun-Gurr on the shelves last night (didn't buy it); completely cleaned out of all other PotP toys except for a couple Jazzes and a Dreadwind.

 

Lynn Wal-Mart has Battleslash and Roadtrap, as well as Leader Prime and Grimlock

 

Feels like forever since I went out looking for a Transformer in the wild but today on my way home from work I stopped at the Tewksbury Walmart. The only thing to note was TLK deluxes on clearance and Leader Wave 2 of PotP. I really wanted the Uniron Rodimus but in hand it looks like crap so I left both. I did cave on the clearance TLK deluxe Barricade though.

 

Any of you folks spot POTP wave 2 Deluxes at retail in this area yet? They were popping up last week in the midwest, was hoping they'd hit shelves by this weekend.

 

No sightings of wave 2 stuff at Salem Walmart or Target.

Walmart just had a bunch of Cosmos and Seaspray, a few Kickback, and one or two Windcharger. I don't think they had any PotP Deluxes.

Target had about two of each wave 1 potp Deluxes, a lone voyager SS, some Prime Masters, Windcharger, and Slash.

I was just out looking for Hun-Gurrr and ended up getting a Slash, Windcharger, and three Prime Masters. Heh funny how that always happens going shopping.

Watertown Target has an Elita-1. Nothing else new.

 

Good news Massachusetts Transformer hunters. Today on Amazon I saw PotP Wave 2 Voyager and Legend class figures that would only cost me $10 more than my BBTS preorder, so I ordered to have them by the end of the week. That should mean with my luck those figures should be everywhere tomorrow.

Rik Alvarez is the former Creative Manager of the Transformers and G.I. Joe brands. While at Hasbro, he impacted many different facets of the brands including film, television, toys and intellectual property development. He was an integral part of developing the series Transformers PRIME and GI Joe Renegades. Before joining Hasbro full time, Rik worked with the Transformers Collectors Club to develop exclusive products and assist with various parts of Botcon the official Transformers convention. Since leaving Hasbro, Rik has authored a new book The Unofficial Guide to Vintage Transformers 1980s through 1990s. His previous works include The Unofficial Guide to Japanese and International Transformers and Beast Wars Transformers An Unofficial Guide. North Attleboro Wal-Mart has 1 Hun-Gurrr and about 3 Elita-1s as of around 2pm today. (sorry, I left behind the Hun-Gurrr with the slightly crooked Decepticon sticker. But then again, I didn't apply the sticker. Or decide stickers were a good idea in the first place...)
North Attleboro Target has 1 Tailgate, and Optimus and regular Rodimus, if anyone is still looking for them.

 

I don't know, sounds like a guilty conscience to me...

 

Everett Target has Wave 2 Voyagers, at least 3 of each. Also 1 each of wave 1 leaders for those looking.
TRU in Woburn was very chaotic, and sort of sad. The TF aisle had almost NOTHING. RIP TRU

 

The liquidation sales haven't even started yet. Imagine how much worse it's going to get.

Found all of the wave 2 Deluxes in CT tonight, so keep your eyes open.

 

I've been told that the Toys "R" Us liquidation sale starts this week. If they're all like the one in Woburn though, they'll already be thoroughly ransacked by the time they announce it, because for some reason the crowds descended as soon as the original news broke.

 

To add on to that, Springfield TRU is a barren wasteland. Auburn TRU is decent if you’re looking for TLK store exclusives.

 

So as to not get screwed over on all the gift cards they have saved up. I had $90 in rewards points I cashed in on a Lego train set I've been eyeing for a while now. Better to cash in now while there's still some selection available.

 

No doubt some people are using up gift cards, but the couple of times I went, there was a full weekend-sized crowd and the place was pretty wrecked, so I think a lot of people are just assuming the deals are already on and not bothering to check.

 

Got my wave 2 shipment from amazon (these were also at the Quincy Walmart last night, 1 of each).
