I haven’t seen anybody posting anything about this set lately,so.... was it that bad??
I’m thinking about buying it but not sure if the QC on this set is really all over the place.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

 

I was thinking the same thing because I am considering picking up this set.

 

So I finally caved and bought this set. I don’t have the revised ratcheted hip joints.

Does anyone have an email for C+ so I can order a set?

 

I have it and like it. It made Defensor look a lot better. My deal was once I bought the kit and the combiner set, for a little more money I could have gotten a 3P version of Defensor that looks better from the start.

 

Its a great set. A little invasive on Hotspot because of the new torso and leggs but overall its pretty nice. The guns are a little heavy for the arm joints. My only complaint is there was no new head.

 

I bought the Hasbro CW figs and needed a Defensor, so I got the Hasbro color version and love it. I never really connected to the team as a kid and the powder blue fire truck was kinda lame. I thought fire trucks were red... Anyway, I could invest a little more money to have Defensor in my collection and this kit makes him taller and much more in line with the quality of my Season 1-3 G1 collection... You will be modding the Hotspot with a completely new mid section and upgrading his legs. Great kit...

 

He is awesome, the double gun mode is best, rather than him holding two separate guns that he can't handle due to weight.

 

That double configuration isn't even a rifle anymore, it's a bloody artillery piece 0__o
Defensor needs 2X fireball cannons and one of my biggest (haha pun) problems with this set is the ginormousness of the fireball cannons, which is a minus in terms of both proportions and playability due to the weight issue you mentioned.

I would pay for G1-style fireball cannons that were say 30% smaller than the cannons C+ gave us. Just sayin'

 

It's pretty disappointing that we haven't seen anything about the Bruticus set in such a long time. A Bruticus repaint would have required very little remolding and sold just as well if not better than the Defensor set.

 

anyone have this kit and wanna sell it?   I wanna buy one, but the wait from china is the only thing keeping me from going through with the purchase haha

Id really like to see them do a set for Inferno  

 

I think the victorion one would work pretty well, no? using the new fem bots and inferno would make a good match I think  

 

Victorions red is a bit off...more of an orangish so I'm not sure how the armor would look on Inferno.

i wish they can do something about the pelvis armor. I can't get a good range of movement from his leg.

Im Im af this kit for cw defensorz but seeing crazy inflated prices on ebay.

I like how it looks in pics, but I can't bring myself to pay almost as much for the upgrade set as I paid for Defensor as a whole...

 

Did you get defensor on discount? At full retail price this set is half of the retail price on Hasbro Defensor.

Anyhow, bought one last night. Will arrive in about a month, got my 5 protectobots in a tub nearby so i dont have to go searching for them.
