I forgot about that piece. Mine went right on and I haven't taken it back off yet.

Was mucking about sometime last week or the week before and noticed that the peg on the guns is exactly the same size/shape as Assaulter's blasters. Unfortunately the "thumb" on the Armor hands makes the handle on them too short to peg in. Would have been a nice option.

Would anyone want some comparison pics? I can take some with some of my CHUG figures when I get my set (if things go well I should have it Wednesday)

I sure hope they make a Nemesis Prime colored one. Anyone heard any word about that?

I gotta admit I was skeptical about this guy. But I had a spare Classics Optimus so... why not?

I mean, I already have Striker Manus, which is basically Classics Optimus gene-spliced with S.H. Figuarts. How could this compare?

    Pretty damn well, apparently.

He doesn't have the same levels of absurd poseability as Striker Manus, but he retains all of Classics Optimus' poseability, plus adds wrist swivels, hand articulation, ball jointed head, and ankle poseability. When an armor kit makes a figure more poseable, it's impressive, and Classics Optimus still compares favorably with most modern mainline voyagers in that regard.

But the looks... holy crap. Beefed out, meched out, armed to the teeth, still can transform, AND goes better with the G3 trailer, all of which edge him out to be the better voyager Prime. That's an impressive feat to pull off with a 12 year old toy.

I just got this in the mail yesterday. I added it to the Platinum Prime from the "One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall" set. I hated how Optimus has the clear side panels in truck mode for that release, so when I found out that this armor completely covers those bits up I was sold!

I didn't go in with high expectations, but I'm in love with this set! The engineering that went into having a complete armor set that transforms with the figure is pretty damn impressive! My only gripe is that he can't look up very well. I think a little Dremel work will take care of that, though. I'll have to dig out my KO Commander armors now to put together a display!

I finally picked this up because my Classic Prime was beat up, scuffed, and in general very worn; it looked almost sad, as a matter of fact.

Opened it up and put the armor on, and HOLY EFF PRIME DON'T LOOK SAD NO MORE

I'd honestly forgotten how much I enjoyed FP armor sets; the tolerances are great, the instructions were clear, and the tiny amount of prep work needed (unscrewing the arms to pop off the hands and unscrewing the shoulders to install the armor upgrade) was a breeze, plus it took a dinged up toy that's more than ten years old and made it look like new. Pretty awesome, all things considered.

Dunno who's on the fence about this and the Magnus kit, as I know they're late upgrades to an old figure, but they're on sale for $20ea at BBTS right now.

Got the blue armor sitting in my POL, now to hunt down another UM (my original UM is still wearing his City Commander groove).

So I have an extra classics prime and the tfx 07 magnus armor is on a steep sale. I was thinking about putting the blue armor on prime to get a unique character (maybe Delta Magnus?). Does anyone have both the armor and classics prime and want to shoot a test shot of blue armor on red classics prime?

Mine just came in. If I had time, I'd do a review of him since it seems the hands were redesigned since the samples went out to other reviewers. He looks cool, and honestly he is worth the 20 bucks. If I kept Magnus Prime, I would had even justified this for the head to mod onto him. That said, the new hand locking method sucks. Had they kept it the other way, I planned on modding it by removing the big hands and maybe using the OG hands through it. Leg snapping on, is secure-ish. I am also not a fan of the flip down feet, but leaving them up more like PM Primes design looks a bit weird too. They need a panel to cover that gap. I also wish the bumper had a peg in it so you could either peg it higher on the back, or use it as a shield. I leave it off in these pics, because I don't like how it looks in bot mode.
But like I said, its hard to be for 20 bucks. I would be hard pressed to recommend it at a higher price.

I thought the armor was worth it at $40, even with its flaws. At $20 it’s a must buy. Might pick up an extra set to customize if they stick around long enough.

Was transforming mine the other day actually, and I love how ridiculously huge his alt mode is in comparison to the unarmored mold and especially the Siege Optimus.
