It's weird. I bought this guy MIB from BBTS, and for some reason he doesn't transform like he should. Here's a comparison pic with RiD Skyfire:

Anyone know what I should do to fix it?

Something is probably jammed in there.

Not that I can tell-I've check him pretty thoroughly. It's really weird. When i went to transform him, his whole chest swung down without even needed to pull the lever.

AFAIK, all BWII Dirges may be like that - a bit of a design flaw. Same goes for Machine Wars Thundercracker/Skywarp. They fixed it for RiD Skyfire (and results were mixed on the Botcon '06 Waspinator version, I hear)

Okay, thank you SO MUCH. I checked Seibertron's gallery and yep, same problem as mine:

You may have to do a bit of digging, but there was a post on here a year ago with step by step instructions on how to disassemble the toy and repair that particular flaw.

Many people (including myself) had the problem with Botcon Waspy. I'm no kitbasher, but I was able to successfully make the repair without damaging the figure.

    EDIT: Ah, here ya go.

That Vangelus is useful after all.

Oh wow, thanks! I'm going to visit Emperor Mengde tomorrow, and he's experienced with knocking out pins on figures, so I'll have him fix it for me.

    Thanks for finding that!

Hmm I would like to try this with my MW figures affected. But I have not had good luck getting out pins. I wanted to correct Cy Ransack but could not get the pin to budge. Any better methods people can recommend?
