I'm curious to see how IF deals with all these stress mark reports. I'm super happy with the IF figures I have so far but haven't got to Bruticus yet. I want to see some posts by fans confirming that IF did what was necessary to make it right.

I am thinking (hoping) that Toyercity is getting an updated (fixed) version of them which is why they didn't send out any invoices ahead of time because they didn't receive their stock. But that is just wishful thinking lol :p

I finally have my whole "Combaticon" team and got to take some quick pics yesterday...

I really liked the idea of IF including so many extra weapons for figures this size in some of their original offerings. I can see how they have stepped up the quality of their releases of late, and they don't need the pack-in gun drones to justify the cost anymore. However, being that THIS team of would-be Decepticons are supposed to be the gun-toting crack squad of mayhem, I took the opportunity to shamelessly load them all down as best I could with obscene amounts of firepower. I liked the way the robot modes turned out, and the vehicle modes didn't do too bad either. Spinvulture and ArmorBoar seem to have the most hardpoints available for this sort of thing. Cannon Chariot and BoosterSpear kind of disappointed me in this respect... I thought that with Spinvulture being a helicopter, Gatling Guns made a little more sense than the weird Sci-Fi guns that he came with. So those weird guns now belong to Manacle. I rather like the way they work with him, and I like the way the Gatling guns work with the combined War Giant blaster... (will edit this post with a pic of that later)

In the end, Thunder Manus decided that War Giant needed to give these weapon drone parts back to Sonitech, Turrets, and Manacle...

    ...War Giant Seemed to agree.

    ...Or did he?

Ya, he looks good with those other guns. Just to be clear, those aren't weird sci-fi guns... they're just three barrel gatling guns:

Good call on the guns included with Spinvulture. I can see the "Gatling" quality of them now, but I still like the ones from Bassrhino/Leotrible with Spinvulture a bit better. The interchangeable weaponry is one of my favorite value-added features of IF products!

You weren’t the first here either. When the onslaught set came out, some people like me already put it on his back.

Agree! And that's why I like that they are 5mm. Even if they're hands are proportionately huge... the interchangeability of their bots and accessories with official Hasbro bots and accessories is great.

I think that the weapon drones took a back seat to other kinds of accessories... flight stands, combiner parts, bonus figures, unique accessories (Sideswipe's jetpack for instance), etc. It sucks for people just getting into the line who never collected those first sets, but for those of us who have 6 or more of them, we don't need any more ;)

    :lol

So I got City Commander when it first came out. Totally whiffed on the Armored Tactical Squad(which I am seriously kicking myself for now), And then I recently picked up the Bassrhino/Leotrible/Sonitech set and the Turrets and Manacle set JUST for the weapon Drones...

So I definitely feel you, and I prefer the flight stands and specialized accessories more(especially now that I have 6 weapon drones!). The Lambros are next, since my Decepticon forces WAY outnumber my Autobot forces.

On a side note, I must say this set has been a ton of fun to collect. Cannot wait for the Spirits of the EDC set to start up! If only IF would get to work on some Technobot or Aerialbot contemporaries...

I found some pretty bad stress marks on the mushroom pegs at the waists of spin vulture and booster spear, as well as another on booster spears right shoulder. I sent IF a message via Facebook yesterday, still waiting for a response.

Anyone know how long IF normally take to respond?

I will post when I have more news.

do share if you have a reply! i honestly do not mind buying the parts that are getting stress marks (even those that i may have caused myself) just to have an overall "nicer" figure. am really loving this set and these stress marks just scare me :(

Do IF Racing Bros and Wings of Tyrant legitimately fit onto the Bruticus torso as arms?

Could someone please put DX9/MFT Hulkie next to War Giant to see if they scale well?

Watch peaugh review on YouTube. They also don't scale well. Billie is way to thin and smaller. OS. Erosion by WJ and using will be good scale for war giant

No, the War Giant arms have dedicated elbow joints, from what I've seen the Racing Bro arms use a lot of blue tack to hold onto place and use the leg and waist combiner Wars style.

Lol no people faked that. Neither the racing bros or the seekers have the two vertical slots required to attach to the shoulder connectors.

If IF's djd arms use those same slots you might be able to swap with those but given how unconventional that sets design is its very unlikely they use the same shoulder connection method.

But if IF ever does other sets they might end up compatible.

They kinda don't. If you want them around the same size, there is a larger version of Hulkie coming from Yuexing that puts him at about the same height as War Giant.

Here is Hulkie and WG though, with Hulkie standing pretty straight and WG's legs spread a bit, in order to get them closer to head level to each other:
