It\'s weird how much better predaking looks with the crotch elbows mostly folded away and no cheap ass stickers

The waist and lack of spikes on the hands totally ruin this figure. It looks so cheap, sad and plain.

If it pisses you off so much..then don't buy it. It's as simple as that. Why get so worked up over a toy?

Figure looks solid to me. Predaking is a winner. Instant buy when out.

As for the fists, you can hear John Warden mention that he was just looking at newer samples moments before the show began; perhaps spiked fists are things that will be in the newer finished form? These fists do look very plain and simple; almost place-holder like. Who knows?

It\'s strange that Predaking looks better in the images as the gray prototype versus the full colors.

True that, I also notice that on the prototype the arm tranformation is correct while the one at the toy fair had it extended combiner wars style.

They have that knuckle guard built-in already - should/could be straightforward to make it a spiked knuckle guard instead of a plain, flat one

    Ebay:
They gave them to Abominus. And why is Predaking the only combiner allowed to have feet bigger than his hands?

    BOOTH BABES!!! :D

I kind of wish they had better costumes, though! :(  Talk about "phoned in"! :cry

I tend to buy things that get presented to me by booth babes! :lol  If this toy line could grow up a bit, imagine the profit they could rake in with some swim-suit models!  Shameless AND super-effective! :lol

Predaking looks alright except for the giant black blocks hanging off the back of the limbs. I have a feeling that he'll be underproduced as opposed to going to Ollies.

"No differences from the hasbro releases"...

Does that mean the Takara releases will also be covered in stickers?

That seems to be the conservative approach by Hasbro lately. And then you need to consider how TRU is basically the ONLY physical retailer that will actually carry this... assuming TRU stays in business long enough to see these on shelves. And even IF they stay in business, they are closing down a LOT of stores...

So, basically, discounters are the ONLY way to see this combiner in-store. It's going to be a mail-order, online catalog item (like so many Generations products today).

(Source: - Tech conference bans scantily-clad "booth babes" )

    (Source: - https://kotaku.com/5916237/e3-makes-me-really-appreciate-the-pax-ban-on-booth-babes )

    Also:
    - CES Doesn't Think Booth Babes Are A Problem. Here's Why They're Wrong

As for Takara's "booth babes", I found them to be, at least, relevant to the display (one was in bumblebee colours, one in OP colours, with the last dressed-up in a faux Diaclone military uniform). Considering that this was a booth for children to also attend, I'm sure the image Takara wanted to project was a family-friendly one. I can also say that I never once spoke to the booth babes to get product information, instead approaching the (almost exclusively) male marketing staff.

For me, they were simply decoration. I could take them or leave them, as I was there to see the toys and get information from the staff.

If you've seen the pictures at Wonderfestival, and read that Takara are releasing the exact same figures as Hasbro for POTP, what do you think?

You actually want them to dress just like Optimus and Bumblebee then? That'll look weird to me.

They wore uniforms that matched the colours of the two characters. They didn't cosplay AS the characters.

I'm well-aware of that. I'm just referring to ZapRowsdower calling their outfits "phoned in". It's pretty obvious what the outfits are trying to evoke.
