At this point, Hasbro is a fully fledged entertainment powerhouse with the following list of subsidiaries. Start of a distribution company will only strengthen all below: Hasbro Studios: TV development, production, and distribution. Allspark Pictures: Movie production. Allspark Animations: Animation production. Boulder Media Studio: Animation development. Backflip Studios: Mobile game development. And hardly anything to show for it!
I hope, new TF Movies will out after this contract cease, since more control from Hasbro = less creativity.
They\'re comin\' for Disney\'s gig! Here\'s hoping they start caring about their properties even half as much as Disney does, but - uh - while still allowing 3rd Party figures. Haha
Missing a music label AND a console/pc gaming arm. But almost there. Though having a channel again would help too, but first need to build up the media library before trying that again. Gotta get more revenue streams coming in for a better launch this time with more original content and new series. And then build up a stream app like Crunchy Roll/Netflix/Hulu/CWSeed/CBS Direct to go alongside it. Kind of think a music label may not be far off though. Especially now that they can sweet talk Saban into doing some for that with power rangers soundtracks, and have other areas they can pull in or ask for help from.
personally, in this day and age a channel isnt needed, just go to an easily accessible (meaning easily available on nearly any device) streaming service (preferably more like cwseed in that it would be free). they have more than enough content to populate something, they could shift future web series to it and also it would allow for easier and more manageable distribution of shows and they wouldnt rely on cartoon network or the overall archaic structure of cable services
I see a disturbing lack of attention to proper gaming. Focusing purely on mobile is frustrating and short-sighted. Hopefully they also have plans to expand into the gaming market because we are long overdue for a proper game. Devestation was okay but WfC and FoC were incredible and it\'s a damn shame we will never see their like again. Activision no longer has the rights to the franchise so now would be the perfect time for Hasbro to do something-- anything at this point.
Holy crap, does Saban still hold the rights to the 2001 RID cartoon?! Hasbro! Get to that sweet talkin'!
Better yet, a console/PC gaming distribution arm, so they can ask PlatinumGames to do a sequel to Transformers: Devastation. Anyway, Seibertron did an article on this. Not sure if there's anything new there... Hasbro's New Trademark: ALLSPARK DISTRIBUTION
