Kind of a shame that the toy doesn't capture this design very elegantly, because these drawings are rad as hell. This is probably my favorite take on Grimlock since Fall of Cybertron.

Grimlock looks so dynamic. I love it! I can't wait to see him on screen.

What an impressive drawing. I hope he looks the same way in the show.

the headline calls this a "model sheet"

Unless this show has a massive budget, I highly doubt that's accurate.

That has got to be concept art for some internal story bible type thing like they had for the "aligned" stuff. That is not going to ever be animated in 2D, and you'd need a substantially-high budget to 3D animate a cast of character that detailed. As far as I know, the experience working with Polygon on Prime where episodes were still being rendered a week before airdate would probably put them off trying that again.

I dig how he's basically a fusion of the FOC and IDW designs especially of how his T-Rex mode is very FOC inspired with his robot mode basically being a lot like his IDW design.

I love that the rear claws on his arms retract. Now Grimlock can actually point his sword forward!

This is badass. I really hope we get some kind of media that utilizes this aesthetic. It's got detail, but is still dynamic. And yay! An actual transformation scheme!

Not everyone writes the date in American format.

The designs remind me of the Hero Mashers very neat.

Assuming that the boxart uses the show's character models, it's certainly based on this but that's it.

Holy shit, that's the best Grimlock design I've ever seen. An awesome blend of Bayverse and G1 designs, which is something I really want to see more of.
Hopefully we can get a good figure of this. Official or 3P, I'll buy it.

Too bad it doesn't look like this. Perhaps, 3rd party companies will do one, but they practically have all done one anyways. Who is left to make one?
