Barricade's by now TF equivalent of Boba Fett. He didn't do that much aside of looking cool but Hasbro won't let him rest regardless of the continuity.

 

Saying this as someone who liked the '07 movie, it's about damn time. I do hope the MPM line will continue until we have all the movie one bots and cons, and maybe some from the sequels, but I'm glad this has come to an end. I would like it if they could keep the more complex aesthetics of the so-called 'bayformers' but I am hopeful that rebooting this will allow for some better storytelling.

It's definitely a shame to end on a cliffhanger, but it was beyond time to start fresh.

Can't get too excited though, who's to say that whatever replaces bayformers will be any better?

Youtube Transformers saga all Ironhide scenes, it's less than 15 minutes! SEVEN HOURS OF FILM and we get 15 minutes of Ironhide and it's pretty much the same for the rest of the crew. Soundwave clocks in at just under 5 minutes. WTF

Although. I hope the Bumblebee movie is good enough to throw the reigns of the reboot over to Travis Knight. This guy knows how to tell a story.

Apparently part of hasbros new deal with Saban for power Rangers includes the option to eventually own Power Rangers as a brand, buying it from Saban. Hasbro could be looking for another property to try movies with now that theyre dumping TF for a while.

The bayverse (as a part of the franchise’s history) will never die!!!!! Every time the allspark is us used in fiction, we’ll remember. Every time a certain fan favorite bad cop shows up, we’ll remember. Every time Blackout is a helicopter and not a micromaster, we’ll remember!!!!!

The films weren’t great...in many case they weren’t even good, but just like every other transformers series, they left their mark on the franchise and lore as a whole. While I’ll be happy to see Michael bay go, the end of this era is bittersweet. And as someone who grew up with both g1 and the bayverse (so suck it geewhiners, and bayverse prudes alike) Im just here to say, please cut the crap, for better or worse, it’s over now, and I’m real tired of putting up with both sides.

I'm happy, but I have little confidence they can reboot it and the movie will actually be what I want see in a transformers film.

At this point I'd rather see an animated movie similar to the DC animated movies.

We wanted to see Cogman, Hot Rod, Megatron & Optimus team up and bring down Quintessa/Unicron! They can't just pull the rug out like this!

 

And thus, the Bayverse came to an end, crashing in on itself in a quiet announcement, rather than the loud, explosive, jive-talking and decidedly angry creature it had become.

 

You think this is why the studio series was created? To give us one final hoorah!

If they’re truly going to reboot, they better not carry over the aesthetic. Much like the different TF series, let’s make it aesthetically different than what came before.

Heck, let’s have a whole new cast..
