    Excpetions doesn't disaprove the rule.

You clearly don't understand how harder it is to unintentionally break solid figure, do you?

Hollow plastic is to save money, and I believe that the plastic walls inside the hollow areas are there for stability.

You see those walls inside his forearm? That's so it doesn't collapse upon itself.

I'm running out of ways to try and make you understand this... yes they did have hollow limbs. Plastic figures are, by design, hollow, because that's how injection moulding works. It's just that older figures had the hollow interiors covered up, not open to the air. That is the difference.

If you were saying that one-piece bits like Prime's thighs look uglier than older figures with two-piece bits, then I'd agree with you. But you're not. You're fixated on durability, which is the wrong argument to try and pick.

    EDIT TO ADD:

Absolutely, and if the argument was that open spaces like that look cock-ugly, I'd be bang alongside that argument. :p

One case doesn't prove anything. For the million times, my main point is solid plastic is more durable and it's less likely to break in children hands.

You don't say captain, it has nothing to with my calim about solid plastic being more durable

I own MV1 Leader Optimus for fucks sake, your point doesn't apply to what I said. I know more solid figures are harder to break, that's how it works. I said that it is WAY harder to break a hollow figure than you think.

No. Your claim was that cheap, hollow, unpainted figures are not good kids toys.

I think, for the first time, I might be passing on a mainline (possibly excepting Shockwave of what we've seen so far). Even by my standards, which are rather lax, I think these are just a bit too simple and kiddish for my tastes.

Which is fine. Since both these and Generations are aping the G1-style, I can just focus on the latter. Not everything has to be for me, and this is the more kid focused line anyway.

    It's just... an odd feeling.

True, but still the end of my post is still correct.

I don't know, quite a lot of 3d party figures have their issues and can easily break if you aren't careful.

Don't put words in my mouth, I never talked about ugly in this issue. Older TF were for sure heavier and more durable.

Yes, because SOLID plastic is MORE durable then hollow one and LESS likely to break!

No, it isn't because for the milloin times, solid plastic is still usaully and logically more durable the hollow plastic.

Yes, I know you didn't. I'm saying you should, because if you want to pick fault with them, that is the problem with these figures, as Crim said.

Tell that to all my old G1 figures that ended up missing heads (except, bizarrely, the headmasters).

Ohh, it's "Usually" now? Not all the time? Hasn't your entire argument been about how solid plastic is more durable and less likely to brake? Not "Usually more durable"?

Sure it is less likely brake, but it can still brake regardless.
