Looks to be pretty much what I expected. RID2015, but with G1 guys.

I'm down for it, honestly. RID Warriors were fantastic, so these toys will probably be just as good.

I have to say I'm disappointed that the Ultimate Optimus looks like it gets to have proper articulation and all that, but Ultimate Megatron looks like a brick. G1 Megatron is lucky to get one good toy every two years while Optimus gets like five good toys every toyline.

It took me a while to realize that despite being categorized as Scout, Warrior, Ultra and Ultimate, all of these toys are gimmick toys under the line Action Attackers. Which means, what my journalist friend at London Toy Fair said is true. For 2018, All the non-collector lines are gimmick lines.

It's funny because for some reason the Unicron Trilogy gets shit on so much yet the toys that came out of it was fantastic and truly unique and ballsy in ambition. I personally like the Trilogy shows as well as the toys. I was partial to them as released for the same reason why I now love it as a 40 + year old. At the time, I thought it was too far from what I considered Transformers yet nowadays I love it so much specifically because it's not a retread.

Where was this poll? Man, I didn't want to get my hopes up but I'd love a Star Saber (and Raiden and co. as well).

warriors Shockwave looks pretty good actually... and that's it. everything else is clearly for the younger crowd. i'll have to judge this line on a figure to figure basis. so far im down for a Warrior shockwave and that's it.

i like his alt mode too. its a little lazy but its unique and is essentially just a gun so it's cool. Reminds me of the Scrapmetals from Cybertron.

Four size classes for a kids line? Okay.
That Shockwave and Grimlock are looking good though.
    Gotta stay strong. (I will)
So far the lack of surprises in the cast is predictably unsurprising.
Man, that marketingline is such shameless pandering to the geewun crowd it almost makes me want to see this show fail.

Yeah, at least the gimmicks with these are more along the RID weaponiser lines, rather than the hit and miss AOE Power Attackers.

And actually, looking at the those listings again, there’s no MV6 for the Action Attackers, so those must mean these, which strangely makes it seem that the Bumblebee movie will just have one main gimmick line in the Energon Igniters rather than the two or three different lines.

It was on the Transformers app (currently the TLK app), it’s the vote that decided there would be an Optimus Primal toy for POTP.

Well there were always 4 or 5 size classes during the beast and AEC eras, all of which were intended to be kids’ lines.

It was a while ago. Basically Hasbro created a fan-vote for who would get a new leader-class toy with the Evolution gimmick for PotP. In the first heat people chose between nine characters in three categories: Honor, with Ultra Magnus, Hound, and Arcee (the latter two made the least sense), Order with Shockwave, Star Saber, and Megatron, and Chaos with Thunderwing, Unknown Evil (Deathsaurus) and Optimus Primal. The second heat came down to Star Saber, Deathsaurus and Primal. Primal narrowly won the vote, with Saber coming in close second.

    Within the description:

Authentics toys for the budget market.”

Which should be an indicator to you Hasbro that you’re charging too damn much for your regular toys if you have to develop a separate “more affordable toy line.”

    These will peg warm.

Shockwave is the only one so far that intrigues me the most. Perhaps if they can make more awesome characters from the show than RID, I might get more of them.

Since Animated Shockwave had a spider mode and a tank mode (which was basically the spider mode laying flat) it may be possible to at least fan mode the Cyberverse Shockwave into a tank too. Lay the front legs flat and turn the rear legs sideways and tuck them in. Maybe. I know I'm gonna try.

Megatron looks good. Shockwave is also probably bought although it's too bad he's a deluxe again...it'll be Cyber Battalion before we get another voyager-sized version.

They strongly G1 inspired as I've expected so no surprises from me. Optimus actually looks nifty aside form the arm kibble. I wasn't expecting Shockwave's alt mode to be a spider tank drone so I give credits for thinking outside the box a bit. The missile pods on Grimlock are a nice touch too.
