I'm just glad Elita-1 got a figure...despite that Thunderblast repaint and others I don't know about and can't recall at the moment. To me she got an upgrade.

Put Starscream in the wash with a Red Sock and this is what happens.

    Pretty good figure though.

    Mini Review:

    .

    *4 out of 5 stars
    *Appearance - Awesome
*Quality - Hollow & Light (typical Hasbro)
    *Tolerances - Some tabs don't reach/fit/stay tabbed
    *Paint - Decent. Vibrant.
*Stickers - Flimsy, easy to peel, some crooked.
*Transformation - Simplistic, not fun, not horrible
    *Altmode: OK.
*Sculpt: surprisingly feminine and good looking considering Starscream doesn't look as good.
    Recommendation: Buy it

    FULL REVIEW:
    .

Power of the Primes Elita one is pretty awesome, actually. I didn't think I'd like it, especially since she turns into a jet, and especially since Starscream's "Popeye" arms and legs look horrible. But thanks to some nice retooling of the mold, Elita's robot mode design seems to look alright. Compared to Starscream, technically Elita's forearms take up more bulk than Starscream's forearms, but what makes all the difference is the division between where her arm ends and the armor begins, unlike Starscream who's actual arm takes up the majority of the bulk. She also has a slimmer torso, more "feminine" legs with sleeker thighs, shins, and painted high-heel shoes. And oddly, somehow she's actually SHORTER than Starscream in robot mode. Like almost a whole head shorter. And her jet mode is a little sleeker than Starscream's with different detailing and slightly different wings reminiscent of Technobot leader Scattershot's Cybertronian jet form.
    .
Elita's pink, red, and white color scheme is vibrant and eye-catching. I love it. Grey highlights give some added definition to her shins, legs, and shoulders as well. The stickers look real nice, mostly in jet mode, although like many recent Hasbro figures with pre-applied stickers, some of the stickers can peel easily and/or are applied crooked from the factory.

    .
Her Combiner feet accessories are ugly. No way around it. You can port them onto her arms as extra armor, or onto her wings, or she can hold them like some kind of gun, but they're just ugly. And of course you can put the little energy spark into it. Lame. I will just leave those in the box. I doubt I'll even use them for combiner mode either.
    .
While Starscream comes with his traditional nullrays to plug into his arm, Elita comes with a pair of smokestack accessories that can double has twin hand-pistols if you really want. I'm so happy they did this homage to the fact that her alt mode in the G1 TV was a Cybertronian ground vehicle with exhaust pipes, even though this alt mode ended up being a jet. I do wish she came with her own rifle though.
    .
If you display her as intended according to instructions, her wings are oriented above her back the same way Starscream's seeker wings are, so she looks like a female seeker. It doesn't look bad this way. It even sort of reminds me of a Valkyrie from Macross or some other anime robot jet mecha. But I prefer to swivel her wings downward behind her waist sort of like an Aerialbot, so that there's less emphasis on her being a jet, and so she looks more like G1 cartoon Elita which didn't have seeker wings sticking up out of her back. I'm hoping to detach the backpack completely eventually and see if I can customize her into an actual truck later on. We'll see..
    .
She's typically hollow-feeling like most modern TF's these days, but she's not bad. However I had a hard time trying to make her arms tab into her sides and the wings for jet mode.... they didn't want to reach, and even when I forced it, the friction wasn't enough to make it stay in without popping out. It's because the plastic is so cheap and thin and bendy, and might have some warping going on, similar to Titans Return voyager Megatron (and Blitzwing). But it's ok because she pretty much holds transformation even without the tabs in jet mode.
    .
Her transformation is so basic. Collapse legs and turn head around, then deploy the jet nose and wings into position on her back. She's a typical Hasbro jetformer: jet on top: boxy robot on bottom. But, o well, what can ya do? She has no rear landing gear, but her front landing gear is oddly-placed at the very tip of the nose cone rather than under the cockpit area. The cockpit itself has a two-hatch canopy that opens like a missile bay door on a bomber, but on top. You can fit a Prime Spark cube in it, or a Headmaster or Titanmaster, but you CANNOT close the canopy once you do. It will just remain open like an open-seater airplane. Sort of odd.
    .
I didn't explore her Combiner mode yet. I don't really care to. But for those of you interested in who she is meant to combine with according to the instructions, its:

    Right Arm: Snarl
    Left Arm: Sludge
    Right Leg: Jazz
    Left Leg: Moonracer.

Her combiner head is just an oversized version of her normal head for the most part. Oddly I discovered that if you pop the combiner head off and place it onto the voyager body, it actually looks BETTER sized than the voyager head (which is actually too small). I might find a way to transfer it there more permanently, cuz it looks really good.
    .
She looks really good next to leader class POTP Optimus. You may even be able to fudge her into you MP collection. She doesn't look as good as MasterMind Creations Eupatorium, but voyager Elita is definitely more appropriately sized for the MP line (Eupatorium is deluxe size)
    .
All in all I'd say it's a fun toy, not bad for 25 bucks. It's an official Elita one, she scales well with any leader or voyager Optimus. She looks mighty, yet still feminine. She actually does have a sort of "Optimus Prime" air about her. A definite good match to her counterpart, Optimus.
    .
    I say, buy it!

I keep going back and forth on this one, but that face sculpt sold me again.

It is a travesty that there wasn't room for the head to hide though.

They are screwed on, so yes you can take them off. However when you remove them they still reveal a fat boxy arm underneath (due to the width of the combiner port).

Pretty sure this should be in the feedback forum. There’s already a thread there for Elita-1, too.

if the mods need to move this, hopefully they can keep it as its own separate post, not merge it with the other review, cuz I worked real hard on this and have some different views, pics, and opinion stuff.
