So here's a question: once the international warehouse shut's down for CNY, nothing will move out till they re-open, right? It will sit in the warehouse but presumably won't attract additional storage fees? I have a few pieces in storage just waiting for me to kick off shipping but I won't have the cash to pay the shipping for another couple days. Once I kick off the shipping process, they'll probably get stuck in the CNY shutdown. I'm not bothered if I have to wait a while to get them, just want to ensure I don't get hammered with 3 weeks of storage fee's because TB were unable to ship them.
Thanks to @minstral I know 4PX will still be working till 12th, so I may still be able to ship them out before the due date, though I guess it depends on whether the TaoBao warehouse will be working till the 12th as well.

I find it interesting that GT Megs was 1.95kg and then Primorion was 2.75kg and TW Thrust was 2.54kg.
I'm a little surprised that there's nearly a kg difference between GT Megs and Primorion.
If those weights are actually legit then that's fine, but it's a bit curious.

Those bigger TW figures have a couple of base sections each, so I figured that was part of why they came in a little heavy.

At least you didn't get screwed in shipping fees.

Hey friends. I neen some advice. My most recent order is not working out too well. When it was received at the warehouse they said products were missing. I contacted the warehware who told me what was missing. I went back to the seller. He says it isn't possible as it was all shipped in one box. Also the weight seems right at 5kg. Now what do I do? I hate the hours for the official cargo support. It's so hard to get anything resolved. Any chnace a factofa worker just took my stuff?
    Thanks
    Mike

Was it the EMS shipping warehouse? I had a similar issue with them a few months back. I ordered 2 copies of a book. The seller confirmed to me that he shipped both together in the same box but EMS claimed they were expecting 2 parcels and only got 1. Of course it was only 1 box because both books were inside that 1 box. I went back and forth with them for over a week over this and it caused delays in my shipment. I just returned the items to seller and reordered. It was very frustrating.

Yes it is the EMS warehouse. Sounds like I might be in for a fun few days. It's so frustrating waiting all day to resolve the problem only to have to wait another and another.
So the other warehouse doesn't use EMS? I've read about USPS but that doesn't apply to me here in canada. Wondering if anyone else has tried the other warehouse to canada.
My first ever order was done well but since then I have had a problem each time.

Has anyone used a forwarder they trust? is it much more expensive?

    Thanks
    Mike

I'm in the USA but IIRC the only forarding warehouse options for Canada are JCEX/UPS in Jiacheng and EMS via DHL in Zhongshan city.
@BuddaMonk and @yakitorisushi are in Canada so they can let you know for sure and how they do it.

At this point I have no choice but to use EMS in Zhongshan because JCEX/USPS started adding volume to their shipping weight calculation and as a result JCEX has gotten insanely expensive to ship. I just ordered FT-20G Guardian Robot and will wait till the CNY Festival is over so that my seller can ship via EMS on the 24th. Until now I've stayed away from EMS because they were great at one point but started bungling up my orders claiming items were missing when they weren't plus I didn't like how they were opening up items for inspection. They destroyed my item box for my GT Prime and when it arrived the head was separated from the body. Since then others have reported that EMS is now more careful. So it's either the EMS route to have cheaper shipping costs again but have them possibly open my item to inspect for contraband or go the JCEX route that takes longer, but my item will remain sealed but pay 2 or 3 times the shipping cost.

4 crowns and 4.9 rating across the board, I would say they are good sellers. I've also ordered from them before. I will order my IT-01 from them after CNY.

Pretty much anyone with a rating of 5 diamonds or higher and/or a gold medal is a safe bet. You should be good to go.

Does anyone know of a way to contact Alipay? Last week or so my Alipay account seems to have ju366st crashed. I try to make a payment and I get an error that my details can't be veried by Alipay security. I've made at least half a dozen shipments with probably 20 individual purchases prior to this but now my account just seems to be unable to verify. I've got 4 or 5 things I'm the warehouse overdue for shipping and another half a dozen due to arrive in the next week or two and I can't pay for the international shipping. Not sure if there's a problem with my Alipay account setup that's only just now coming to a head. But I can't find anyway to actually contact Alipay to find out.

Not that this is a solution but I did have an issue at one stage and paid with a different card, no issue. Went back to using the old card and all fine. The only other issue that is system based is reaching your max spend limit in a day. Doesn't sound like your issue.

Lately I also upgraded my phone and can't for the life of me pay Alipay on my phone browser anymore, always have to use a desktop PC. Try switching browsers or computers. It's been a while since anyone's mentioned a process hiccup but these were the workarounds.

Hope one of these solutions works for you

Thanks mate. Unfortunately not. Already tried different card, different computer, different browser. Seems to be account related. May try and create a new Alipay account, if I can figure out how to unassigned my current phone number from the existing account .reading up it seems like sometimes when an Alipay account is setup it does it as a China account instead of international. When Alipay catches on the account gets blocked. Not sure if that's what's going on but it might be.
