We all know Blackout didn't speak in the first film. But if he could, what kind of voice would you expect or what Voice Actor would you have preferred to play Blackout?

Personally when I started with Movie 1, I always thought Blackout would be voiced by a dark and deeper Clancy Brown voice.

I would want a subversion of what people would expect. How about John Lithgow's Lord Farquaad voice? That would be pretty Shrektastic!

Decepticons with his voice abilities are in short supply!

Blackout being a silent type is far more effective.

But for a voice, Noah Nelson's from the 2007 tie-in game seems like what it could have been.

Too be honest for me I have alway thought for Blackout to be voiced by a black guy such as Kevin Richardson who voiced Bulkhead in TFP.

I would use Peter Cullen using a slight rasp and harder edge than his Prime voice.

I imagine him sounding like Iron Monger for some reason.

I like the idea of him only speaking in techno-synth grunts subtitled with upper-crustian vocabulary.

Yeah. That quiet, no-nonsense and calm voice really worked for me. Big huge hulking dude, quiet and calm voice.

He spoke in cybertronian. But if Clancy Brown was given a few lines for Blackout, that would've been really good.

The cons started out Ok, now that they speak they're a bunch of clowns.

Agreed. The first film did a really great job of building up the cons as a threat and keeping them that dangerous all to the end. If only the others had done the same.

When my sister was little ( when the first movie came out)and we played transformers together, my sister gave Blackout a falsetto accent. I thought that was hilarious, and I always imagined him having that voice after that!

I like to think he sounds like the late Micheal Clarke Duncan.

i like that he doesn't speak the earth language.

he's the kind of guy who's actions does the talkng for him.

always silent and in the background, but would rip you to pieces if you would say anything bad about megs or the decepticons in general.

I think he would be the more “actions speak louder than words” type. And considering his first action was to completely incinerate an army base, I think he had a lot to ‘say’.

I imagined whatever person made that electronic-sounding voice we've heard in several of the films going: "Chee-kraahhhh!!!?"
