I'm not sure. This was set up by the seller once Ft-20 was returned by the courier. They sent me a link through chat to pay for shipping. I just rechecked the tracking and it shipped from Hong Kong.

 

Was this for FT-20 A or B?
How much was the DHL shipping charge and weight?
What was the condition of the items when you received it?
Was it handled by DHL but final delivery by USPS?
Was a signature required?

 

This was for the A and B. The seller told me the cost so I don't know what the weight was figured to be. The charge was 540yuan but the seller contacted me later to say they miscalculated the shipping cost and that I needed to pay an additional cost of 215yuan. At the point they contacted me the package was already in the states so I contacted the shipper and voiced frustration over having to wait 2 months to finally get ft-20 and how much the shipping was. They told me that shipping in China all around had increased but I never paid the extra and the seller never messaged me again. I got ft-20 a few days later but I'm not sure that seller will want to sell to me anymore.
The 2 parts came in a big ft-20 mailer box. One part had been opened cause the FT seal was cut. The other was not. The boxes were in good shape and the bot was fine.
The seller did say that DHL is volume shipping and that is why the shipping was so expensive. I don't remember who delivered it. Tracking the package was the whole way thru the DHL website. I don't think anyone signed for it but I can't remember

Received my Trinity Force and MP Star Saber in record time, exactly 7 days!! Funnily enough, my two sellers I bought from apparently are located next to each other so both my packages met each other at the local post office and traveled together the entire way, long before Taobao's warehouse consolidated them. The warehouse (EMS) removed the smaller boxes that the two packages were in and placed them in one really big box, not into a large potato sack which is what I was expecting. Factoring in shipping, fees, etc, this entire purchase cost $327 so I'm really happy.  

 

Does it look like they opened up the item boxes to inspect contents?

 

Yeup, Star Saber's box had cut tape along the top edge while Raging Bull and Wildhunter were taken out of their factory-sealed shrink wrap. Only Red Knight seemed to not get opened up.

I don't know what's worse, my items being molested (EMS) or being hosed in excessive shipping costs (JCEX/USPS).

 

If this is molestation, they have my consent to do it. lol. Having my stuff opened in exchange for a cheaper shipping fee and ridiculously-fast shipping time of just seven days is a worthy trade-off to me.

Is it really that bad to have your stuff opened up? I think EMS is a great all-around option, but you might be too late to order now before CNY kicks in.

 

I thought CNY shutdown wasn't for another 10 days. I had a bad experience where EMS obliterated mt GT Prime and box.

 

Sorry to hear that. :-/ Some companies are already starting this coming week. I know TFEVO's team is dismissing for the holidays in a few days. Not sure about China's postal system in general.

 

hello, just want to know, after paying my pre order item in one of taobao store, what are the method for the store going to collect the balance payment when the stock arrived?

 

Some sellers will message you via the Taobao chat. Some sellers will message you through a phone app like WeChat. Some sellers will not send you any notifications. It really depends on the sellers. You're better off just checking the status of your order. Most sellers will have an option to pay the balance on the same product ad when it's time to pay.
