We haven't gotten pictures of the Japan release yet so they might turn out the same. But living in Japan, it's generally easier and cheaper to get TT releases  

 

Happy to see that his shoulders and upper chest look much less gappy in these pics than the official ones, although I'm still a bit concerned about the shoulder articulation.

 

I have yet to preorder one. Missed out on Anime Export.

 

Since they're giving us MPM VW bumblebee, they should give us TLK Barricade down the road for the next spin-off film.

what i mean, it's that i want them to release a proper mpm frenzy without any compromisses, heck, it would be awesome if he transformed into a boom box cd, but i would be fine if he was just a normal figure wich don't transforms too.

 

Nice to see Barricade has a ball jointed neck. A pity Prime and Bee only had swivel jointed necks.

 

Nice review, the actual product is really good despite bad marketing pics by HasTak. I think this will be my 1st MPM I want to buy. I must admit, the quality is really different class from previous MPMs.

Still nothing up on HLJ, or Amiami, wtf is going on with those places?

 

The BB on mine, according to reviews, has better/tighter joints and, of course, better paint. Even if it was just better paint, that's a remarkable improvement over the base figure, plus it's much cheaper, too. It's like buying a Takara version (when Takara did better paint) with Hasbro's prices.

 

For official MPs? For POTPs, it might not be anymore...I get some versions of toys from BBTS and get them delivered to Japan, which can actually work out cheaper. Plus, Sirtoys for the KO MPs is very cheap.

I think he hasn't even been officially announced by TT. We might see him in next month's figure king magazine or at the Winter Wonderfest. Preorders should go up after the reveal.

Keep in mind that both Bumblebee and Prime weren't revealed until like a month or two before their respective release dates.

 

I wonder if the preorder will go up when WonderFest starts.

As for the figure itself, if the early reviewers haven't noticed any glaring issues yet, that's a great sign. Hoping this release will have stellar QC.

But didn't Frenzy come bursting out of Barricade's chest in Sam and Mikaela's first encounter with him against Bumblebee? Frenzy and Barry were literally bosom buddies.  

 

Is he being released early March?
