Movie Prime in this is kind of broken if you get the three starred version with his special. Just get him near max level and you can get nothing else.

That aside I hope they can do some IDW exclusive characters. I'd like to see the DJD or Pharma in the roster.

 

So there’s two strange things in the game files.

-Hound (AoE/TLK) (been around in the files since the summer)
-Jazz (Speculation is Bayformer)

There’s a... Laserbeak? My personal assumption is that this is probably the version from DotM.

There’s also a character just listed as ‘Feral’. People assume this is Feral Rex, which would be strange.

Pure speculation, but I’d also expect to see BW Megatron sometime in the next few months since Primal was just introduced.

But man, if they continue the trend of releasing only one bot a month, 12 bots over the next year seems like a bit of a drag. That type of release schedule could’ve been fine if only they had released the game with a bigger roster in the first place.

 

Yeah I saw this posted on the FTF forums and the whole Feral Rex thing is just some mistake I'm sure or just being interpreted wrong.

As far as the 1 bot a month I'm cool with that schedule as any more would just be overwhelming, well for me it would be.

 

I wasn’t familiar with the character of Feral Rex, but I feel less bad about it now because I learned that’s a name that a third-party gave their Predaking.

So you’re completely right, it makes no sense.

That being said, given how little effort Kabam seems to put into doing research into the TF universe (it’s like they watch literally one episode before they create a character and their story missions), I wouldn’t be surprised if they got the character name wrong. Most of their designs so far (save for the movie stuff) have just been straight rips from an existing toy, or in Primal’s case, a statue.

 

I think most of the character input comes from Hasbro as they are in the business of selling toys so they are going to want their new designs shown off so maybe it will turn into additional sales.

I'm betting that Hasbro has the Predacons in their newest toy line so I'm sure Tantrum design will be close to that. I'd hope that Hasbro or someone at Kabam would catch that Feral Rex error before it shows up in the game, no sense in promoting Master Mind Creations Predaking.

 

One bot a month is a ridiculous pace even with the current roster. Most fighting games roughly have 15+ characters starting out and progressively adds 2 more bi-monthly if DLC is worth it. Kablam is doing this to make the characters more rounded but since you have to grind through the game to get the characters you want it suddenly becomes a chore instead of fun.

 

Although the grind is long and slow, the one good thing about this is that it makes it very accessible for free players who put the time in. I've gotten the 4* every month so far and haven't spent a dime.

 

Well it looks like the sharks are going to be playable now.

Regardless I'm not a fan of these guys so they'll all be forging bots for me.

 

yeah forged bots for me too. Wonder why they just didnt use the regular g1 sharkticon design

 

Gnaw might be a character down the road, if they just wanted drones to fill spots early in the game because the roster was so small. In my opinion they should have just used the seekers. They come in just about every color of the rainbow anyways.

 

Those are g1 sharkticons, just don't have a g1 toys for it. They were the ones in the tf movie which Kup tried to use the universal greetings on.

 

LOL they are Not even close to the Allicons you are referring too . These have NEver appeared in any cartoon

 

Each to their own, I think they look close enough. Especially with the Greek type face mask/helmet

 

There’s some more TLK Hound stuff in the new update so perhaps he’s the next feature character.

 

part of me says YUCK to more movie stuff, but the other part of me really welcomes it, as it will allow me to take a month off , which would be a nice break at the current pace I have been going on .

 

Breaks are always a good thing, as it keeps you from getting burned out. I’m going to take most of this month off as I don’t care about these sharks.

 

The feeling is mutual, but this sharkticon thing only goes for a week, I believe.

Edit: Yup. New character spotlight mission after Primal ends in 5 days.

 

A lot of those movesets are just borrowed from other characters like Bee and Motormaster. A clone basically with the guise of a generic character we've been killing the whole game.

 

Yeah dude, it’s balls. But it seemed like lot of people wanted playable Sharkticons so, at least they got them now.




I have a theory (I may have posted it here before):

Since the Insecticons have been sitting there in the files for so long, I think they’ll probably be introduced in the next act as NPC’s in addition to or even instead of the Sharkticons.

Either that, or maybe they’ll do an Insecticon event where you have a chance to get all 3 over the course of a month or something and have them as mini-bosses in Alliance Missions.

My guess is they’ll take a page from the aligned continuity and they’ll be a part of Shockwave’s experiments.
