Weird that Galleria, Irving, and Allen stores are closing, but Mesquite is not. The real estate must be worth more than the stores, because those 3 are some of the better ones in the DFW area. Mesquite doesn't have a BRU combo, the store is old and they ran out of fucks to give a long time ago, but for some reason it stays busy and I guess it was profitable enough to stay open. I know Galleria is close enough to North Park that they can stand to get rid of it, but I thought the Allen and Irving stores didn't have anything else close by.

The Irving store is a regular stop for me on my lunch break. That's going to be a huge loss :(

I'm surprised none in Austin are, but mostly glad the one I frequent most isn't.

If you Google the address and map it, the Bunker Hill ToysRUs is the address given in the list. It has a Katy address apparently.

I am so thankful the Willowbrook and Woodlands TRU stores will still be around.

Living in South Irving, I'm not surprised that the TRU store is closing here. Sad, but not surprised. The Galleria does surprise me. There are some other stores in DFW that I am surprised are not on this list though. Curious if those stores was genuinely moving more volume / sales than the ones that are closing.

Whew! It looks like San Antonio was spared the ax, for now at any rate. Still, TRU needs to make some positive changes like lowering their prices, & putting more newer things in stock on the shelves. They should increase the number of items that can be ordered online & picked up free of shipping fees in store, like Walmart does. I'd like if they could offer more free pre-orders like BBTS does also.

I, for one, DO NOT want TRU to go extinct, but some creative improvements are necessary. What other suggestions would you all make?

Guess the only closet one for me will now and only be the Katy Mills one. I really love the bunker hill location and one of our guys works there too thats on here and he is really nice as I have met him a few times. I noticed someone mentioned they found the RC Sqweeks for 19 at a Walmart. Has anyone else found him at that price at other Walmarts? I was thinking I might swing by the Walmart by Katy Mills because thats the only Walmart I've seen him at. Hoping to maybe score him there at that price possibly.

i agree, but i would also add to this like, for one, stop with the 10-15 mark up from MSRP; two, after every (quater, 2 months, small time frame) rotate the invitory, like pull old items from shelves and put on gradual clearance or discount until stock of prior series or wave or shelf life has passed; three, enforce strickt purchase quantiees for exclusive or rarer items with some sort of chain of command or computer lock to allow for all individuals a chance to grab the item they are looking for. thats all i can think of for the moment but i have discussed or thought about this before.

I am not surprised the one in Allen is closing. That has been my go to, but it is rarely busy and the stock so so. I'm near 75 so really North Park is easy enough.

I am a little bit excited at the possibility of picking up some toys for cheap(er) when they start liquidating. I'm sure we'll see some post about people in smaller areas scoring some insane figures on the cheap.

Oh, the Katy store closing is the Bunker Hill one? I assumed it was that one all the way on I-10 heading towards Louisiana.

You are thinking of the Baytown ToysRUs. That one is safe for now.
