I literally thought you were just making something up as an off-the-wall example.

Hey. I never said Hasbro live action films were good. They transcend mere, overpriced Gas Station food. They're the stereotypical school cafeteria food where you barely get any toppings, the cheese should not be that color, the meat is greasy and questionable and it may start talking to you if you eat it. :lol :

While I understand that Hasbro isn't going to make summer blockbusters right and left the first few times, they've done nothing but serve audiences shit on a nostalgic platter. I think Hasbro ought to stick to its strengths, which is toys, cartoons, merch and the occasional animated flic.

Maybe. But it's too late now.
Entertainment industry lost me thinking ever story should be exactly the same as the previous forever and ever filled with what they think people should see and they are never getting me back.
I only watch and read Transformer fiction because it's Transformers. I don't even care about anything else any more fiction-wise.
It's always the same crap made by arrogant people who think they should decide what people get to see and nothing should be made that deviates from their distorted worldview.

If Paramount loses faith in the franchise, it doesn't matter what's confirmed. TF6's plug can be pulled if the Bumblebee movie bombs...and there's an outside chance it might.

The writer's room was a stunt show for shareholders. I don't see any good coming out of it, other than big talk and allusions to how great those scripts were.

REALLY, Hasbro? Is that why the script to Last Knight was so phenomenal? :rolleyes2

I don't doubt the good ideas that came from the writer's room; I doubt Hasbro and Paramount's collective ability to do anything meaningful with good ideas. :banghead:

It's weird what's going on with the franchise right now. Bumblebee is going to be the test to see if the series still holds water (and after that abomination of the BB movie design we saw on the box? Already not looking good there), which would have given them a year to produce TF6 relatively safely (though the whole "three films in three years" thing was some stunt they really shouldn't have done). However, it really doesn't show any confidence on their part on the film doing well when they move it to December so it doesn't compete with Incredibles 2 (a film fourteen years coming, except unlike Duke Nukem Forever the chances of it being actually good are significantly higher) and some other big names.

This means TF6, which is slated to come out maybe seven months later, has to be done filming by that point and well into post production. That's lost investment anyway so it becomes a toss up of cutting losses and just trashing a mostly complete film, avoiding any more expenses like marketing, or going for broke (litterally) and pushing TF6 even if Bumblebee bombs.

From what I know, Lorenzo fucked with the scripts to try and pack more story into The Last Failure. Said as much in an interview (though I've lost the link).

Seriously, fire that asshole and the film quality would rise exponentially. That man has no fucking clue how to treat the movies right.

Holy hell, I don’t think I’ve ever walked through such a collection of opinions since the last time I was on this site! But whatev, my two cents about this deal:

I literally care nothing about this cinematic universe, I’ve never been a fan of any of the properties and the whole thing reeks of gimmickry. Sure, they could be good films, but if IDW couldn’t do it while including the actual breadwinner then it would take a miracle to make this good. Maybe someday, someone will actually learn the lesson that effort needs to be put into these universe to turn them into money machines, but I doubt that a Toy-based franchise will hit the curve.

I deeply wish that there were more movies and movie makers who truly cared about what they were doing, more James Roberts and MTMTEs then Mike Costas and Ongoings. More MCUs the DCEUs. More Pixars then Sonys.

Oh well, at least we’ll have something to mock!

That's why experiencing a variety of reviews creates an all round experience. It's the same with toy reviews for me.

Arguably though, your comment regarding reviews could easily be ascribed to film makers, too. In fact, I'll admit that was what I thought you meant when I first read it.

Well at least Hasbro isn't just trying to put them all in the G.I. Joe movie so they can rush in to a shared movie universe like WB & DC.

MASK has more sense due to the use of transforming vehicles! It would be quite easy to introduce them into the transformers universe, just like IDW did.

The Transformers aren't apart of the Hasbro Movie Universe.
