Don't get too used to Junkrat as he is now. They just posted a nerf to him on the PTR, giving is Concussion mine fall-off damage, so you'll have to learn to be more accurate with that if you're trying to use it as a damage source.

 

I'm not a big fan of his anyway. I wouldn't even bother except this coworker was telling me to give him a chance

Luckily I honestly use the mine more for flying than for damage. I will admit, he's a little too... spammy as it is, just being able to toss two mines rapidly whilst shooting balls and clear out a small area. This nerf does not sound unwarranted.

 

Mercy and Junkrat nerfs, today is a good day. I look forward to playing comp and Mercy not being a requirement.

 

No, that’s a fair nerf. They went too far with Mercy, though.

 

Unfortunately you'll run into toxic behavior, not just what people say into a microphone.
There are people that will pick a healer but then not heal anyone -sometimes they'll even having their character say "I need healing" the whole time.
Sometimes people won't attack and just hang out at the spawn point.
I never understand it but fortunately I haven't encountered it much.

I totally agree. The nerf for Junkrat just changes the effectiveness of his technique.
I play Junkrat and I thought he was a little overpowered.

But I don't understand what Blizzard is doing with Mercy.
They have totally changed the way she is played.
They changed her admittedly overpowered Ultimate into something different; I don't agree with the change but I understand the logic behind it.
But now they changed it again to where she can essentially just fly? That's it. She can fly for 15 seconds.
I don't get it.

 

She can still chain heal/boost while flying, but that's pretty much it.

 

Fly, increased shift range, increased beam range and chain healing/damage boost. Given the impact that revive was having on the game, a fair change. She still has the best and most dependable healing, still the best mobility and still has a single revive. Actually seems to be more what the ult was supposed to do, as starting a fight with Valkyrie will give a good advantage give the extra healing or damage. Also given how fast it charges, still good. Previously getting off 2-3 revives every team fight or so was a little ridiculous, no other support could have that impact. A lot of people said they went too far last time, but we'll see. I can still see her being viable, just not a 100% required pick as she has been since the full team rez was available. I do with a reduced cast time or halfed recharge on revive during Valk, but that's about it.

And apart from that she does still have a revive which is still an incredibly powerful ability when used smartly.

 

I must not be smart because every time I try to REZ now I get killed.  

 

Not that bad of a nerf for Junkrat. Mines are still good for pushing fuckers away lolz.

 

I mean, if you are literally dying most of the time when trying to revive then you definitely are using it at the wrong time.
