I'm finding a lot of one-off PotP figs at various local stores. I've seen most, but still need to pick up Swoop and Grimlock.

 

They've been all sold out here for a month now. (We have two Wal-Mart's)

 

I guess the real test will be the upcoming couple of months, where the sheer newness wears out, but before wave 2 comes in retail stock.

 

Titans Return was also deemed extremely popular...UNTIL THE $10 DELUXE WAVE 1/2 PALLET DROP HIT AT WALMART! You can STILL find Scourge, Chromedome and Blurr hanging on pegs...

You really can't gauge popularity on local sales...

 

So far all I've seen are Beachcomber, Slash, Swoop, Slag and Jazz. Swoop and Slag are the only ones hard to come by.

 

You sure you didnt mean FOC wave 1 ?

In my area, Starscream,Skrapnel and Dreadwind seem to be the least desirable.

Beachcomber and the Dinos seem to be moving well.

Stores only recently began stocking the Prime Masters/Pretenders so I cant really make any observations.

I havent seen any POTP Leaders yet.

 

I got my Rodimus from my local Target 2 weeks ago, but they either haven’t restocked leaders since or have sold out. Walmarts here just started carrying but the 2 here are a joke anyway. Starscream I picked up at WM cuz he’s everywhere. Grimlock, Jazz, and the Dinos I all picked up from Amazon as soon as I saw them (briefly) hit retail price. I can’t find Optimus for the life of me and it’s driving me crazy. I may try harder to pre order Wave 2, but its so hard to tell when preorders go up, which shops will leave you waiting, and if the extra cost is more worth it than the uncertain patience...

 

They are sold out everywhere where I'm from. People in my town are still looking and cursing whenever the shelves are empty or whenever they hear their friends have them already.

 

January is when stores do inventory, they aren't going to be ordering new stuff. From February to May, you're going to see all the wave 1 dolls you want.

 

Feel like it's going to take a while till we get wave 2.

 

I can add some anecdotal evidence of mine. When I went to my local Wal-Mart last week, they had just stocked Power of the Primes and moved the remaining Titans Return toys to clearance. They had stocked Deluxes, Voyagers, and Legends - but the latter had already been cleared out except for a pair of Skrapnels. I picked up Grimlock myself, and when I came back two days later, the legends were restocked, but now the deluxes were almost entirely gone!

No, I think stores barely have POTP

 

We're sold out of leaders immediately around here on the east coast. Dreadwind sits around but the rest seem to sell well.

 

Pretty much this, I think. Many of the stores around here haven't even completed their TR to POTP resets yet and, based on my observations while hunting, probably haven't put out more than one or two cases of each Wave 1 assortment at this point. I'm assuming things will become more common after the stores complete their resets and most people have picked up most of what they want from the current wave.

 

I used to keep track of all my purchases.
I should update that.

 

The deluxe wave is restocked and just about everywhere near me. Same with the Prime Masters.

Both my local Targets and Walmarts got one shipment of voyager and leaders, all have sold out. But that really only means one person bought a single Optimus and/or Rodimus at each store.

Grimlock seems to be the hardest to find. Ebay will probably be flooded with $5 Starscreams once the scalpers figure out nobody wants him.

 

...are $5 Starscreams on eBay a bad thing? I kinda want to army build Stickerplague McHulk-Hands now that you mention it.

 

My 2yo SON loves that stuff... 20 years ago people would have shit kittens but all things considered... mainly how much work Ive done babysmithing over the years... yeah have at it son its good prep.
