Looks really nice but Calidus is my LL rodders. Still need to get a regular color version of this guy for MTMTE

 

I still love my Calidus, but I'm definitely down to pick up this guy in LL colors just to avoid buying two of the same toy.

Forgive my laziness and not looking back through the thread, but is this guy supposed to be an exclusive or will he be regular retail?

I'm not really a fan of the new colors in the actual comic, but daaaaamn, that looks nice in plastic.

 

Man, I already have Calidus asterisk and love it. I need a regular color Rodimus and was leaning towards Calidus again (I like both figures, but prefer Calidus). This looks so good I might just get it and still be in the same predicament! I'm definitely keeping C. Asterisk though, so I don't need this, but.............I need this.

The bot mode is as beautiful as the alt mode is ugly. The face sculpt is especially fantastic.

I mean it's only a very tiny criticism, but is anyone else kinda peeved that this deco is so purple and blue when current IDW Rodders has so much black in his colour scheme?

 

Nope. I think he looks pretty dang close to the first LL cover.

 

God it looks lovely in those colours, but I'm holding out for their Nautica. I have Hot Flame in his original colours, so anyone on the fence, trust me, he's just as sexy in the flesh (erm, plastic)

 

That's what I did. Got Hot Flame for normal MTMTE Rodimus and Calidus for LL Rodimus. Now I get to enjoy both molds and there's a valid reason as to why I have two versions  

 

I normally try to mix it up when it comes to characters that get a new look at some point in fiction, and try to have other toys represent them, but in this case I'm more than okay having 2 Hot Flames. I love the normal colors one and I can't wait to rotate him ever so often with this one!

 

New update , they are updating the hands , the new deco rodimus won’t have issues holding his accessories. And original hot flame owners will have hand replacements as well .
