I wonder if this new Blast off is a brand new mold. If it is, then I’ll probably consider picking it up  

 

I have both Hasbro and Takara versions of Blast-Off, and I plan to get PotP Blast-Off. Hasbro (brown Harrier jet) Blast-Off will join PotP Dreadwind as a limb for Voyager PotP Starscream's combined mode (just need two more volunteers).

 

Really. The connector has the same stripes on the body pivot and the same shapes round the bottom (if someone could oblige with a photo)

If you look at car mode photos they have the same mismatched wheels at front and back. It's not much but it's definitely the same parts.

UW Blast Off being in any way retooled into UW Shuttler, let alone heavily, is tfwiki mistake, though.

An assembly variant and a running change to tighten the joints yes, but a retool no... Since it's same parts only put together in a different way.

That's not enough to make it a remold. It's not even enough to justify the term "shared engineering".

 

Nevertheless the parts are the same on both toys which was what was disputed in reply 127 above. You can argue the toss about what to call it but it's the same parts.

TR Arcee and Grotusk(SP) came with Titan Masters so why would a PotP exclusive not come with aa Prime Master?

 

It's shared parts and not much more interesting than all the CW limbs having the same thumb on their HFGs, or all the PotP deluxe class toys doing the same with their Prime Armor thumbs.

That's the only way I can see Blast Off coming with one and for Hasbro to get through all 13 Primes, if he's an exclusive and add them. If he's meant to be a retail figure (non exclusive) I don't see why they would do that, if he's an exclusice then sure, why not add more stuff to him?

 

With or without Blast-Off, we’d be getting Megatronus as he is shown as a cross sell on Inferno’s box. Blast-Off is a special edition figure, though, which is why he comes with a different “exclusive” deco for Megatronus. He should be coming with Repugnus in the same case/shipment/whatever. Well, that's disappointing and a pointless add in then. Should have have made it the Starscream ghost head.

 

Now, that would’ve been an interesting inclusion. Gotta stick with the gimmick, though, for better or for worse.

 

Any new info on Blast Off?
