t. taka This guy has lots of vids of Diaclone with Tomica’s different lines of cars and play sets. They also work well with the thunderbirds are go! Playsets.
Not sure if this is the right place to post Diaclone customs, but since we are also posting compatibility stuff here I figured why not! (P.S. Its a work in progress)
I hope they do the same sort of release schedule for the Waruders, start with a Diabattles sized bot, make some mechs and troop packs, then make a big fucker.
Speaking of Thunderbirds, the big Thunderbird 02 from the newer Thunderbirds show would make a pretty darn good transport. Not sure on the scale of the minifigs it comes with, but I don't think it should be a problem for Dianauts to pilot.
The dianauts fit very well with that thunderbird 2, seen quite a few pictures of them in the cockpit.
Problem is, the Waruders never had a "big fucker" or much of anything else. The mighty Waruder Empire had one Diabattles-style 3-piece combiner mech (Warudaros), some power suits, a small Regult-style walker, the Insecticons, and that was it. The Japanese market is heavily biased toward hero toys, so the bad guys never get much representation in any franchise (even Gundam gives the antagonists a handful of unique suits and an army of generics).
Oh I know. But they can always make their own thing, they don't HAVE to base everything off the old toys.
I can't see that happening. Enemy mechs are notoriously poor sellers as it is. Add on one that isn't based on something from the original line? Not a recipe for success.
Well hopefully they drop at least one or two Waruder-esque robots. Or maybe a special release of Waruder color themed packs like they did for the cosmo marines. Or if Takara is feeling like keeping it simple, the same powered suits we already have with updated Waruder torso sculpts!
Just finished up revising the color on my original DA-06 Cosmo Battles to a much more Cosmo Marine-styled paint scheme (green and black). And now it seems the replacement legs match a whole lot better!
*chants to himself* I do not need another line to collect, I do not need another line to collect LOL but seriously, for you all that collect this line, in your head canon, do you treat the Diaclones as non-Autobot/Decepticon affiliated Cybertronians, or are they completely non-related to The Transformers to you?
I am kind of having this Super-robot/Gundam idea going. Earth is attacked by aliens seeking energy resources. Depends on what they do with the Warruders to allow for a monster of the week. Hero-Mech is crewed by misfits, who by a screw-up in logistics, get the snazziest mecha available, the Alpha Plus. The misfits have a rivalry with a very 'by-the-book crew'. Halfway through they get the cosmo-manuever set added in, the extra pilot being a hot shot test pilot, who discovers the mix-up but decides to stay with the misfits, and learns some humility. Have side stories involving more seasoned crew on the Moonbase.Fairly standard anime, LoL.
definitely human, but sometimes I put them with my legends/ iron factory stuff. They seem to scale together in my mind.
