The Source Sword is absolutely brilliant

 

What is the the source sword based off of??

 

A concept sketch for TFPrime had Prima wielding a "Matrix" sword. I believe it was an early concept for what would be the Star Saber?


Dr. Wu wound up making one, and then eventually a proper Star Saber.

That said... these sort of weapons are a great way to store the Prime Master bits.


Also... Magnus is rather disappointed here... being trolled by Nightbeat.

 

thanks, it was weird for me to not know what a transformers thing is so it was bothering me.

 

Maybe it's just me but that Source Sword being supported by that 'matrix frame' looks a little on the fragile side.

 

If you look at the Beast Blade photo, you can see the additional support for the Sword Sword in Galvatronus' right hand. I'll try to upload additional pictures later today.

 

Cool stuff here. Combiner weapons, less bulky holders for the Prime Masters — a lot of things the toy line needs. The Prima sword is very cool.

Do you have any heads planned?

 

These all look great. Any plans for a Prime Master compatible Enigma of Combination?

 

Probably not heads but other items that interact with these upgrades.

I'm looking at the picture on the store page and it looks like there's a gap between the two halves of a cradle meant to be filled by a Titan Master, etc, but nevertheless appears to be a gap (that also appears on the Beast Blade photo). Unless of course the cradle is actually connected to each other, but I can't tell from these angles.

Although I think what I'm really wondering is if the sword supports itself without a Titan Master, etc. in it.

 

Yup, it does support itself w/o the Titanmaster.



The matrix "handles" keeps the top and bottom together.

 

Amazing stuff! I especially like the Powermaster container.

 

I'm really digging this add-ons for the POTP stuff. I think I'm interested in getting these parts down the road.

Amazing. Do you think you can design both the Source and Beast Swords to not support the Prime/Titan Masters? On the Source Sword, I honestly would just prefer a full matrix in there and just a filled gap on the Beast Sword. Some of us really would not be getting prime masters, but will obviously get the Dinobots/Volcanicus and Optimus Leader class.
