Just some more photos of me playing about with superion and CW Devy. Can pose well enough in G1 config

They definitely tick what I’m after. Though I feel like I should’ve bought a Devy upgrade kit cause I’m really noticing how scrawny his arms are to Superion

Those pictures are bad for peopla like me who have Devastator. Mine is currently in a fight with Fortress Maximus, but the temptation of giving him a more proper rival is strong.

Is there any UK/European retailer carrying this set?

Come to the dark side and give in to your feelings @Lex79!

I sold my OS KO (FP?) Superion a couple months ago to finally make some room - but seeing this guy going up against CW Devastator has me interested again! And just like that - I've ordered one of these for myself! Nice pictures and he looks really good. Who knows if he will be a stand in only (probably most likely) - but since I didn't buy any of the Hasbro CW Aerialbots anyways, I don't feel quite so guilty. Plus if I decide to upgrade to the FT release at probably double or more the price - I can always pass these on to the kids, who hopefully by then will be at an age where a Hasbro CW difficulty is age appropriate.

I recently gave a 4 year old nephew an extra JB Feral Rex bot I had and it was WAY TOO hard to transform.

Ok tried it out. Was afraid to close the combined mode forearm tight in case it stressed something so the lightning gun handle wasn't all that stably plugged into thigh gaps, but I still got some decent poses out of the setup :)

Wow. This looks like it turned out much better than I thought it would. I like the pick-up and play aspect of the CW figure because you never feel like you're going to break anything and you can flip it easily and quickly between modes. But the more accurate looking jet modes and the more boxy bots have me thinking about this set. How's the pick-up and play aspect compared to the CW/United?

Watching Paik's review of the limb bots it sounds like there's ratchets everywhere especially around the bot legs which means the gestalt has some real good ratchets for the elbows?

For those who have him in the g1 leg configuration, how good is the knee bend? From the pictures I'm seeing it looks it's getting maybe a 30 degree bend on average, would that be about right? Can it bend any further than that? And it looks like its forcing the cockpits of the fighters to detach and get pushed away from the leg as it bends, is that a correct assessment? I'm all for g1/accuracy but I prefer function over form so if the knee bend isn't as good or clean in g1 mode as it is in the normal cw config then I might just stick with it like that. Thanks!

Pick up and play- it’s basically oversize CW superion with stiffer CW ratchet and it’s pretty hefty.

But like CW superion, his elbows are the bot hips/legs and they are on ... ball point I think (at work) only the bot knees have ratchets. so I can’t him holding anything heavy.

G1 Functionality- if you had a CW superion you know G1 config was very limited. Couldn’t even bend the knee I think. So for me to be able tho bend this at even 30 degree without too much head piping is a treat for me. Yes I had to detach the cockpit but it they still hold up straight so I only needed enough for the knee bend. But if your after dynamic posing your better off CW mode

Hi Spence, I may have missed it but what do you have to do to the feet to get the G1 style of legs?

I've got a review done and would like to make sure I've covered everything :)

The thing that worries me the most is that I was thinking on picking one between this and Zeta, but given we'll probably have to wait many months for Zeta's complete set, I'm risking buying both in the end.

Uh, I thought WJ Defensor scaled better with this, too bad. Maybe if someone makes OS PE feets...

I still don't have a home for this poor guy, so he's still on the floor in front of my small display case.

I'm gonna need a bigger place I think....

Lol! I'm in the same situation. All my combiners take the floor up in my office (which has my computer setup, Gundam/Macross stuff on shelves, model build table). Wife isn't too happy.

He looks pretty good with JB OS Bruticus. I was worried since he was just an OS CW set basically that he wouldn't look as good as the (OS) 3P ones which tend to be more detailed, but really doesn't seem too bad. Just wish BBTS would get theirs in so I can ship my PoL!
