Enh, Top Gun bears so little resemblance to the real US Navy Advanced Fighter Training School that sticking the reference on an Air Force bird seems proper to me.

 

Amazing work, immediately identifiable as Airraid. I also really like the alt-mode here. No need for any real changes, the figure is almost spot on. The only suggestion I have is maybe work on the helmet a bit. Seems a bit large on top where it's rounded. Bring that down a few cm?

idk, I feel like the raised arms are a pretty big part of Silverbolt's design. At least having the wings angle above the shoulders would be a good change. The proportion issues are slight, I agree, but they really distinguish the character from either being heavy-set or sleek. Sleek is the way to go for any aerialbot  .

I think I'm wary of MP-08 shoulder syndrome. But yes, I can see the wings angling up above the shoulders being a nice touch.

That is true but I'm guessing they picked Air Raid's alt-mode cuz it's close to the F-14 tomcat which was in the movie.

 

I am not sure I like this one. Silverbolt looks good, but this one is a bit off. I mean all the Aerialbots limbs will have a lot of junk on their back but this one seems to have quite a few hidden through clever photography. The first two Insects looked clean in photographs, but in hand, the junk is atrocious.

I will wait for further details.

 

I think FT-30B is just stunning... the face sculpt is fantastic, and it's always a good sign for articulation when a figure can be posed holding a gun with two hands.

 

Looks like G1 animation model Air Raid...check.
Looks to have some nice articulation...check.
Transforms to a F-15...check.
Air Raid is my favorite aerialbot...check.
This thing is going to combine...freakin' check!

Wtf man, I never liked this team, only silverbolt for its alt mode, but I feel myself drawn so bad to this mp version of this team....I mean bot modes on the first two shown look fantastic.

 

Maybe F/T can do the Aerialbot's nemesis next; you know, the team of Deceptions that turn into chairs.

 

Zeta Toys TFC syndrome. Fans Toys tends to do a nicer job with it, imho, so I'm not too bothered by it, but I can guess that's why others are.  

LOVE the F-15 altmode on this figure and the botmode looks solid, as one would expect from FT. This team is shaping up nicely so far!

Looks fantastic! I do hope there's an optional configuration to raise the wing kibble just a bit. Yes it's accurate and no I don't care. I do really love the overall balance of toon and detail though. These will definitely be my Aerialbots.

 

We're going to have to ask @dalianjj to front page the new images. I keep having to go back a page or so to look at them.  

 

Looking at this tells me theres gonma be delays on other figures. This is their first combiner and looks to be their top priority! Man does Air Raid look good though! Personally i Cant wait to see SkyDive!

I agree, Airraid is looking thoroughly amazing. I'm holding out judgement for Silverbolt, though, until after I see how some of the suggested changes from the digi I posted are received by FT. So far, the thread seems to be giving them mostly     .

 

I think their silverbolt looks great, but those suggestions would literally make it Damn near PERFECT!

 

Looks pretty good. I think the head is a little off though. Like he's wearing a big helmet or something. Makes me think of that green alien character from Flintstones. Comes from following the toon too closely? Looks like the wings fold up in front of the backpack. And I see the horizontal stabilizers hanging off the back of his legs. Almost looks like the pics were framed to try to hide that though I'm not sure why: doesn't look bad or anything. Also, blacking out the underside of the jet? Why?
