Just thinking today about the Transformers Zone OVA and how close I am to a full line-up of the Nine Great Demon Generals. I've got Devastator, Menasor, Bruticus, Predaking, Overlord and Trypticon. I just need an Abominus, Piranacon and Black Zarak. POTP has got Abominus handled (unless it comes out and I really dislike it, then hello unique toys Ordin). Piranacon might be handled by POTP (but if it doesn't, TFC's Seacons look pretty good). Black Zarak may be released as Titan class repaint of Scorponok eventually (but I may get Maketoys version this next year). Hoping POTP helps me get 2/3 of the remaining Great Demon Generals.

UW Menasor
UW Bruticus
Devastator (MakeToys Giant)
Overlord (MMC Carnifex)

Still need:
Abominus (either PotP or UW)
Piranacon (either PotP or UW)
Predaking (UT War Lord)
Trypticon (Planet X Apocalypse)
Black Zarak (MakeToys Devil Stinger)

 

And Sideswipe, Red Alert and Tracks.

 

Those are the three Autobots I most want from PotP.
For Decepticons, since we're already getting Dreadwind & Blackwing, I'm really hoping to see either Smokescreen & Dreadwing, or Fireshot & Vanquish.

 

I would gladly take Fireshot and Vanquish so that we could have most members of the IDW council of Worlds. I got Botcon Obsidian and Strika (should have waited for the club sale) because of that, and even hunted Botcon "Chromia" on Ebay to be my moonracer. Glad we're getting the POTP of her.

 

If we get a deluxe Vanquish I hope we'll get a deluxe Grit too to add to my Drift: EOS shelf.
But I doubt we will in potp.

 

The more I look at the Dinobots and their combined mode, the more I'm hoping they get remolded into the Dino Force/Dino King.

I think it'd be a more fitting mold reuse despite them originally being a redeco of Monstructor. Especially if PotP Monstructor is going to be a reuse of the Abominus molds.

Just don't know how we'd get a Gairyu to go with them though, unless HasTak sees fit to add an ankylosaurus mold to the Dinobot ranks.

 

Since we are getting Moonracer, do you think they would give us a new Chromia that has combiner ports... maybe an easy retool of the previous motorcycle figures?

 

Well, if Takara made a new ankylosaurus mold, they could have a deluxe size Gairyu transform into a giant club for Dinoking to wield, instead of a limb. Not at all likely, but it would be fun.

 

Glad to see I'm not the only going for the Demon Generals.
As I said, I've currently got:
Devastator - CW
Menasor - CW
Bruticus - CW
Predaking - MMC
Trypticon - TR

I've laid out my goals for the others, but I might be really leaning towards Ordin for Abominus instead of POTP. I think it's okay if he is a bit bigger then the CW gestalts. Being bigger also puts his rival Computron at the underdog position.

Planet X's Apocalypse is a really good choice for Demon General Trypticon. Throw a cape on him and you basically got the perfect look.

 

I feel perhaps they will do like in combiner wars where each combiner had a "official" combination for each torso. Grimlock and Hungrr have their teams obviously with Starscream Elita and Inferno having their own. Starscream with the 2 recent jets plus the rest the rumored seekers, Elita and he rest of the rumored fembots. Inferno maybe using Jazz and few other upcoming figures, potential Sideswipe and Red alert maybe?

 

Hoping for Sideswipe and Red Alert myself, also Tracks.

 

Will this line go well into 2019 or will it be done by the end of the next year? I hope the latter :/

 

I don't think Hasbro has said anything on the topic, but there's no reason to think it will be anything other than an 18 month line like the first two parts of Prime Wars until we hear otherwise

Considering that the previous two line have been 18 months, there's no reason think other wise. Remember, the leek wasn't something we were supposed to see, especially nothing to that scale.

 

I think it'd be a cool idea if we got a few more lines of Transformers after Prime Wars.

Also, HasTak should remold Dreadwind into at least one come head

 

Rumor is that Generations is planned to last up to 2020.

 

Does anyone know if Starscream has any components for his combiner that are specifically designed for him? In other words,is there anyone else in the line that is meant to combine with Starscream specifically?
