So I emailed Hasbro Australia yesterday asking if they could tell me which retailer IN AUSTRALIA had him in stock.

I was very clear that I had searched most retailers in South Australia with no luck (we are like 2 waves behind cause twin twist, windblade etc. hasn't even showed up here).

    This is their reply:

'Thank you for your email and allowing me an opportunity to respond. We distribute our product to all major retailers in Australia, including: Kmart, Target, Myer, Big W, Woolworths, David Jones, Toys R Us, and Toyworld. Please visit one of these stores to find the product you are looking to purchase.'

Yeah thanks Hasbro! I'll just keep doing what I AM ALREADY DOING! :banghead:

Anyways I have PO'd the Takara version from BBTS so fuck you Hasblow!

Not sure this is particularly Hasbro's fault. My guess is that Target/Kmart/whatever chose not to stock them because they 'wouldn't sell in that area'. It's a shitty practice, and it's why most people switch to online.

I'm having this problem with Overlord. No sign of him so far.

Nah it's definitely Hasbro's fault dude. I spoke to Toyworld (one of the retailers they listed in the email) yesterday and they told me they had zero control over what figures they get from Hasbro.

If they requested a shipment of Transformers they would just get a box of figures and have to sell what they get. So it's not like they are actively choosing what to stock and not to stock. They could literally get a case full of hotrods and have one Slugslinger in it.

The only control that retailers have from what Toyworld told me is the range and the size class. If they wanted deluxe TLK figures they would get them but they wouldn't even know what they were getting until they openned the case.

If you look at the Myer website they do the same thing with TR figures. You buy a deluxe figure and they will send you what they have (most likely a hotrod :lol ). You can't even choose what you want lol

Damn, that sucks. Maybe the future of toy shopping really is online only at this rate.

Or from David Jones, because they 'don't think Transformers are worth selling anymore because they don't make them money'.

My local Walmart has not had anything new in at least 8 months, went there yesterday to get a prescription and guess what? They had 4 Slugs lingers. Lol. I bought one just because even though I already got one from bbts months ago.

Same here. Nothing on the pegs past wave 2 for months now four different Walmart have all stocked Slugslinger. I'm guessing Potp won't get stocked until the January resets.

That's good news. Lets hope we see something similar happening in Australia as well.

I never saw anything past wave 4 here but who knows they might bundle wave 5 and 6 together seems Slugslinger is the only figure in wave 6

    *Update*
Hahaha I do not know if it is a random coincidence or what but I just got a followup email from Hasbro!

I never even responded to their first email...

"Just an update from Mike's earlier email, we have had a small quantity of the assortment with Slugslinger in.

Myer had stock in early August and Kmart in early September.

We are expecting to receive another small quantity which will probably not be in stores until the new year. I do not know at this stage which stores that will be, however, the usual stockists are
    Big W
    Kmart
    Target
Mr Toys (they have an online store)

    I hope this is helpful.
    Kind regards
    Tania"

Hell yes THIS is much more helpful! Thank you Tania for cleaning up Mike's useless response!

She deserves a reply and a thank you! :D

This is nice, but it begs the question; when do we get Power of the Primes? Does this mean it won't be out until possibly May?

Everything's expected here in January. If Griffin pops up, I know he knows people who have better ideas about these things and can comment more

But uh, yeah, Slugslinger and Misfire already came and went here in Melbourne, though only at Myer and KMart.

So what is the deal with all the talk about Hasbro and figures not showing up in stores. In other words WHATS THE BIG PICTURE? What is the problem? I see everyone’s point but no fix no answers???

Stores can't pick figures which we blame on Hasbro (like if you want Slugslinger a store will get one but lilely one of his wavemates) or in other words why can't Hasbro get every figure to every store willing to sell that figure.
The fix is online but that will cost more in most cases or at least when it's rare.
We just like getting our toys without the hassle of shipping, customs etc and see what we buy in hand.

Hasbro _knew_ they only had so many deluxes planned for Titans Return. They knew they goofed by overloading wave 4 and they knew they could've fit a 4th in wave 5. Yet they chose to do this weird wave 6 anyway.

I also think it is a lack of getting the waves out of the back of the store.
lots of factors contribute. I agree with you. Repeat waves with two new figures.
