You answered your own question with your post. Optimus is a reincarnarion of the 13th Prime, but he isn’t as God-like as his brethren, thus he isn’t among the ranks of the Titanmasters. The Thirteenth is already in the line, just as Optimus.

Though TBH I would totally be down for an Optimus Prime Master, with an original Decoy suit.

Well, I hope they go beyond the 13 Primes. Looking at the reviews for the first wave these seem like a lot a fun; kinda like the Waspinator Targetmaster that was packed in with the Legends scale Starscream.

The best way to do Pretenders was how they handled Skullgrin and Thunderwing. Tiny doesn't cut it, period.

Ok so they like even numbers then which makes sense.

Because. In Aligned it was never explicit on is thirteenth prime optimus prime. it is more open to interpretation. I much prefer the reincarnation theory. I suppose they can do that and say optimus toy is the thirteenth.

I’m imagining something along the lines of Pretender Bumblebee but with a cowboy hat.

    Why can't we have both?
Do you really think thunderwing or skullgrin don't have that kind of ego they wouldn't use smaller versions of themselves as a drone/gun?
Or for that matter, why can't we have smaller versions and then later bigger versions? You naysayers act like this is the only version of the characters we're going to get in classics/generation styling, yet they've already redone how many that weren't Bumblebee or Optimus Prime? Heck we're already on our 3rd Rodimus, 3rd windcharger, 3rd grimlock. 2nd Kup. 2nd Blur, even a 2nd brainstorm, etc.

Give it time. I'm sure more versions will come later after POTP. Let POTP generate the hype and want for more versions though.

With the play eco-systems, let them create more scales and ways to intermingle the figures.

Tiny, frankly makes perfect sense. The HUGE Human with Transformers thing never made any sense to me, but now, they're finally believable human size in comparison to other TF toys. I love em (That and they're so easily pocket travelable).

Thanks but I put that theyre lumps of plastic because I dont care for them, not because I didnt know about the gimmick. I would have preferred that they had released these for the Titans line and had headmasters inside. They all have a blank part that has a tampo stamp on it, very unexciting.
Hasbro are still bringing out vehicles that are obviously designed to have a titan driver, like windcharger and beachcomber. I think theyve had them designed for ages and they just decided to give us many repaints instead of new molds because the Titan line was doing well. Just like how Ipod Buzzsaw came out as part of the Combiner Wars line and then all the same designs were used as Blaster and Soundwaves 'tapes' in Titans Return, Im sure they had it all designed up ahead of time and figured they could slip one in that earlier line. They will probably put a Tigertron redo Ipod thingie into the power of the primes line too. Notice how it took them years to make all three insecticons in that scale.
Non crystalline matrix cores dont interest me. They already spent as little as possible on paint apps for the titan heads and now these seem even cheaper.. I like the redeco targetmasters from the Takara Legends versions. It makes Hasbro seem like misers for not giving Targetmasters or Titans with the small vehicles.
I would buy Masterpiece matrixes if they ever made them, like the store exclusive variants they had in Japan.

Hmm. I think we can safely say by this point that all the Autobots are going to be guns and the Decepticons are going to be melee weapons?

Just because you don’t care for it doesn’t make it’s existence any less valid. They are cores for a Matrix. You don’t have to like it, but you can’t say it isn’t what it is just because you don’t.

As for your post about the repaints and shared designs. All figures are usually conceptualized and designed a year before their release, so whatever will released a year from now is on the designers current table. However they usually have a general idea of what they want to do several years in advance. So you could say they the sales pitch of each line for the next few years already written out, even if they haven’t gotten to that figure yet. There are also designs that sit on the table for a while but aren’t used, like the TR Alpha Trion design, which was originall designed in early 2014 to be a part of CW but wound up not being used until TR. The overall visual designs and concepts of the figures themselves are usually made seperate from the gimmicks that will be incorperated. My point being that the design of a figure may exist before the gimmick. Brawn and Gnaw were designs they had on the table for years, yet when we got them they were TR compatible. Beachcomber and Windcharger could have been the same way for all we know.

As for characters like Buzzsaw appearing in CW, that was simply releasing them early pad out the CW line. Originally Wheelie and Rewind would have been released under CW as well but they opted not to. Like I said all of TR was in full development when CW was on shelves.

Yes. Exactly. For those of us that have been around collecting these toys for over 30 years it’s nice to have so many updated versions of G1 designs coming out. This has been the best time in TF collecting in decades.

If you don't like it don't buy? I seriously doubt skullgrin and thunderwing "cut it" because if it did they would have made more.

Not a fan of pretenders but how they interact and act as weapons interest me.

The yellow one, is it a repaint of the other wave one figure? Sorry Im not on my laptop so I am aware this sounds a bit vague and lazy. Thank you to whoever takes the time to answer though

Maybe there are also new people like me who are intrigued by the interaction and decides to get some. So those lost can be replaced with new blood.

Whether it works appeals to most fans? Honestly at that cheap a price point it is worth a gamble imo.

I like these, but TR Metalhawk and "Vector Prime" work so well as a set that it makes me wish I could do the same thing with the rest of the shells.

Took the words right out of my mouth! I could care less about the core itself, but the shell, along with the Deluxe Metalhawk is beyond awesome as a way to handle the original gimmick.

At the cost of the actual Transformer inside being stupidly small. No thanks, pass, try again, close but no cigar, ect. I'd rather have an oversized Pretender shell (and only oversized in the sense of Japanese fiction, which is the only time that I can remember them being established at human size, and only the Autobots at that) than an undersized Transformer.

Robots that ARE actually tiny? Rumble, Wheelie Targetmasters/Headmasters, ect.

Cheaper is always easier, never think otherwise.

I do know there is leaks out there of Hasbro items and by the looks of it some is mis-information. Like I saw some voyagers posted twice with extra char maybe a repaint of sorts. Hasbro dose try to find it's leaks so it dose things to narrow down who is posting what and when things like fake information has been in their bag of tricks before. If I was working for Hasbro and wanted to keep things under wraps till official announcement, and then some scrub leaked partial work onto the net I would be livid. Besides I do like the surprise aspect of it all on official reveals.
