Hi guys, just got my hands on a POTP Swoop and when I tried to transform it came to the realization that it came with two left hips, making it impossible to transform properly ( an exacto knife fixed it but it looks awful), my question is, is this a common problem on this figure?, or a one off?. Haven seen it on the shelf other than the one I got, but I know what to look for (both hips have to have that small tab that his alt mode feet tab unto facing forward); just wondering in case I find him again and want to replace it. Thanks for the replies guys.
My Swoop is just fine. My Titans Return Seaspray has two of the same knee and couldn’t be transformed. I had a Titans Return Blurr that had two left hands.
It's never a common thing, but it happens. Just hold on to him until you see another one at a store. Buy the new one and return the janky one using the new packaging.
don't do this....that's a dickish thing to do.... EDIT: above statement was based off a misunderstanding but i'm leaving it for context of future posts.... contact hasbro see if they'll hook you up...at the very least you could get a hasbrotoyshop coupon for the value. he's a wave one figure soon he'll be flooding shelves so you'll have to wait a little longer but you should have no issues finding him in stores soon
I don't think he's saying to return it pretending it's new, but just to return it as faulty (which it is) once you find a replacement (and the easiest way to do that is using the replacement's package, so you don't have to hold on to the old box).
My swoop is fine in that regard. My only issue with my figure is that he is missing some tamographs on his chest
Yeah, sorry for the misunderstanding. That's what I was referring to. Make sure when returning it that you let them know it's defective. Then you at least did your part in that regard. I would also only return it to the place it was purchased from. I'm not out to defraud anyone or anything. Though after a few issues with stuff like that, I've gotten in the habit of holding on to the packaging and receipt until I'm sure everything is all set.
ok my mistake then....some people on here are upfront about returning broken stuff for a refund after purchasing a non busted replacement. sorry to jump to conclusions.
No worries! I reread my post and saw exactly what you meant in your initial response. I should have been more clear.
I've been having quite a few problems with my Swoop and I'm curious if this might be the issue. Now I need to check. Beyond a few loose joints, I've never had a problem with any Transformer I've ever bought until now.
i'll edit my post a little. i'm not deleting what i said since there's a string of replies now but i'll edit for context
well it was a mistake....he admitted it wasn't clear what he meant so the least i can do is say the issue is resolved later on. i just don't want other people piling on before they read all the posts going forward
I just realized the way his head is molded there is always a couple patches of gold paint that get broken up on his head? I thought it was a mistake at first, but there is a band going across his head that doesn't have the gold paint? You can tell it was a last minute decision and they were originally going to go with the clear head.
