I like that one, but I'm using him as a new character in a different combiner team.
I'm always liked Blast Off, so I really want him to be accurate.
A futuristic space shuttle I don't mind, but I want him as a spaceshuttle.
It really sucks they're doing this now, cause if I had known before between this and optional rotors on Shapeways for Vortex I had no need at all to buy the UW version.
I'm still gonna buy him if he's the colors of the CW guy, but if they do this with Ratchet too I hope they'll let us know during potp.

 

If we're getting the Unite Warriors Blast Off, does this mean we're getting Unite Warriors Ratchet?

 

BLAST OFF? I cant be the only one this exicted to get him. 

 

 

Honestly, I NEVER cared if Blast-Off is an airplane or a space shuttle as long as it's a flying alt mode with wings and jet propulsion. If Seekers can have different alt modes from one incarnation to another... It was him not even having his own head sculp and being just an obvious repaint what made me outright dismiss the CW figure.
I'd never look at the UW set if Hasbro at least made a new head for the character.

 

Elita-1 looks great, better than Starscream IMO. Also, Blast-Off?? Oh hell yes! So glad I waited instead of shelling out for the Takara version.

 

are we sure that the Blast Off mold is exctly the Takara mold?
I was looking again, and the wings and the fin looks in somewhat different. 
Maybe some retools needed in order to pass the \"crash testes\"?

 

I thought a drone would be a cool alternative. It would be more conventionally military and retain the "otherness" that the character has. But, that would have been a new mold.

 

Seriously? Blast Off? The Hasbro jet was good enough, oh well I'll get this more accurate one but only if its colored dark brown over that ugly ass brown(?) Takara used.

Elita One is pretty cool and Inferno isn't as good as I hoped he would be, still going to have to get it so I have an Inferno on CHUG shelf.

 

Especially considering the mileage they later got out of tank Brawl.

Yeah, that's my bad for writing something that suggests *all* Botcon goers would feel cheated. I could've phrased it as "some" or "may" instead of lumping every one together.

ok, I am checking better the pic with my Takara mold.
Most probably this Blast Off will have a toy-accurate deco, with darker brown and white-and-purple stripes on the wings.
Waiting for the full reveal, but if that's the case I'll probably get it.

 

Moonracer is the best looking figure in this line up.  

Hun-Garr is the only Voyager class figure I'm buying in this line so far an that's only because of the Abominus torso. The rest of this lazy Silverbolt retool looks terrible!  

I've waited over 35 years for a quality Elita 1 figure and it looks like I'll still be waiting. Elita was never a d@mn plane nor did she have popeye arms which only makes me hate this Starscream mold even more...  

That Inferno is a pass, they've used this mold about 5 times now and Hotspot and Onslaught is where is were it stopped for me!    

 

I'd be up for the return of Bruticus, doubtful but with new hands and feet, and updating tooling it could be interesting.

 

X-37 would be sweet alt mode for ol' Blasty

 

...Wow, Elita-1 and Inferno are hot garbage. I was looking forward to them, but... PASS.

Moonracer, however, is wonderful.

 

Inferno will make a good cab/hosehead and you know someone is gonna make the window chest from the artwork

 

I was just thinking he'd be a good base for a ToyHax Pyro conversion kit, too

 

I forgot that we'll need to wait and see how ruined these figures are by stickers! I wonder how previously released molds like Inferno will fare, given that his predecessors did not have stickers.

 

I’ve already got a shapeways adapter and the lgex cab head waiting to put him with my goshooter and minerva

 

She would be perfect if if wasn't for those clip on wheels.
