WTAF ToysRUs? Have the day off, so stayed up and checked their site every 5 minutes. Got the e-mail again at 337 am, but still nothing to buy. If they've been playing stupid games like this all along, no wonder they are going belly-up.

This is like that test of the emergency broadcast system... you know.. the annoying one that blares in the middle of the night... and gets you out of bed thinking "ITS REAL!" only to find out the cat jumped on the button..

    That's three times now.

but can you see why Kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch?

scalpers though. and this guy has more demand than Arcee. a lot of people skipped Arcee cuz they already had the t30 version. Grotusque is a character we havent seen a new toy of since 1987 so demand is sure to be higher.

Thanks to Botcon, TFCC & SDCC I'll never be able to complete Combiner Wars. No way in hell I can pay the prices they're charging for Tripredicus & Thunder Mayhem. Plus all the others like Needlenose, Windsweeper & Starscream. But I can actually complete Titans Return. This guy will be easy to get & all I need is him & Ramhorn. So I'm not worried. Even if I don't get him off the Toys R Us site he'll be a million times easier to get than a fucking Botcon exclusive.

And the rich collectors can't understand why I'm glad Botcon & the club are gone. What a huge difference. If we had Titans Return Botcon & TFCC exclusives I would be totally screwed once again. But thankfully all I have to worry about is 1 little TRU exclusive + a couple Japanese exclusives.

    It's got... molded panel lines?

I think that's the big problem this year. "Grinch Bots" working over time, but nothing's popped up on Ebay yet.

I'm one of those - I thought once the Switch came out, the NES would just be sitting on the shelves at that point.
Nintendo HAS announced that, in addition to FAR more SNES being available, they would go back to producing the NES after all.

For what it's worth, I find it quite telling that, despite Nintendo's promises to produce a far greater number of SNESes (promises which they do seem to have kept, by all indications), no store seems to be able to keep them in stock for more than the briefest of moments, even now. I happened to see them in stock one time this season, which I promptly grabbed for my brother (I've really no interest for myself). Never again since.

Is it because of it's unrelenting pursuit of a warrior's true path?

What in the world is going on? I've been checking everyday and today I saw an email from TRU that came Saturday (!?) saying Grotusque was in stock. I got upset that I missed him, but then thought that made little sense given this ongoing thread.

Did some get put out? Or is that just the kind of BS notification I can expect from TRU?

I'm not a stranger to hunting down exclusives (spent the entire summer checking everyday for someone to drop their Siege on Cybetron BBTS preorder, and actually snatched one in July), but the system needs to at least be accurate.

So, no one has grabbed one, yet, right?

As far as anyone watching this thread (and TRU) can tell, no it has never been even briefly available. TRU is having fun poking us all in the eye and reminding us just why they're going bankrupt.

    Ha. Fair enough.

Although, it's going to be sad to see so many Toys-R-Us locations close up. Amazon is killing everything. Even BBTS has a hard time competing with certain products, shipping, and so on.

I haven't checked the thread in a day and I see we are still in our regularly scheduled state of paranoia and misery, with Geoffrey the Giraffe's laughter echoing in the background.

Wonder if BBTS' slip in quality was because of this or other things? I used to be a diehard BBTS fan. Selling figures in waves was very frustrating, but I got it. The multiple failings in customer service from a company that initially earned my devotion specifically through going above and beyond with customer service were another matter entirely.

Now they seem to be severly scaling back with 3P stuff they cary as well.

    I hardly use them anymore.

The sad thing is ( if anyone one this board is like me)we'll freak out and go crazy over stuff like this just to get it,miss with it a little then put it on a shelf and never touch it for months at a time, if ever again. But by golly we got it. We might have a problem.
