So, updating people on the situation of GigaPower HQ04-R, this was what I got instead.


At least (finally) yesterday PayPal refunded me almost after a month from me opening a case.

Man. I just ordered a Koot, the VERY DAY this post went up and this guy went to the dark side list.   Well he seems to have sold several of them and the buyers are happy, so hopefully it all works out. Will wait a few days and see if the tracking number comes up valid, otherwise I guess I'll cancel. I'll update you all either way.

Anyone order from ekinyangyiwei before? He's got pretty decent feedback, and the only negative feedback from the last 6 months is about QC issues more so than anything

I did get a refund from quickly when i provided photographic proof that my parcel was addressed to a fictional place, and was only large enough to contain a small jewellery box rather than a toy robot disguised as a Camero...I got the usual 'sorry friend, do not misunderstand' apologies blaming 'the staff' for a mistake.

Oh, don't leave it too long to chase the tracking number, If it then 'coincidently' activates immediately after you message them then be very suspicious....that's what happened to mine.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. I've messaged them today asking to confirm that it's been dispatched, then if it immediately goes through... yeah, suspicious. Nothing yet though, will give it until Friday, that's 6 days. Then I pull the plug.

Royal Mail you say? So you're a fellow Brit?   And you say that Royal Mail sent you photos of the package once it got sent back again? Is that a normal service they offer? Just getting ready in case he pulls this same trick with me. Is it normal for these scammers to send out a good number of genuine items, then start scamming? What's the strategy if an item has been shipped and reached China post office, but then stuck in "ORIGIN POST IS PREPARING SHIPMENT" status (e.g., ever since Nov. 17)? But it's still within the estimated delivery window provided by the seller so like eBay's contact-the-seller form says "Hey, just keep waiting, it's on the way." Seller is reputable just seems lost or taking a long time. Thoughts?

 

I had this same problem a few months ago
and the item never come I think they put long delivery times to stop you getting eBay involved
what I did was tell eBay they sent a bangle and eBay refunded in my mind it was not bad cause they never sent the toy 5 month on nothing ever come
best bet is put it to PayPal if you paid by them I have done it that way this time .and you know what as soon as I told PayPal wow the tracking started working stating 0 days and at its starting point what a swiz if you can get paypal get money back

 

Call paypal to file a refund claim asap. The contact info is on the first post of this thread.

 

For international shipments PayPal will refund your payment if the tracking doesn’t show any movement for 20 days. I just had a situation in which my package made it to US customs and then never moved again. Couple of calls to PayPal and the refund was given.
