    Sludge looks ugly in botmode.
    The rest looks cool.

I think it's probably* better to look at the calendar rather than the wave number (especially if you don't want to be chicken little :p ). PotP W4 will happen at the same time on the calendar as TR W6. Hasbro seems to put really good stuff in the calendar window for PotP W5 and W6 (look at TR W3,4, CW W1,2,5,6 as well as PotP W1,2).

*Who knows? I'm just guessing, and it's not hard to find a counter example

I understand what you mean I'm just under the suspicion and sort of belief that the new studio series is responsible. for the lack of power of the primes the gap it creates just enough room for both to run in 2018 without one completely stopping the other.

When Hasbro gives you Duocons and Firecons 30 years after their release... you really want to just bite the hand that feeds you and go to a third party? Seriously?
I think for years now we G1 fans are getting what we always wanted, and I could not be happier. I am buying the Hasbro/Takara versions and nothing else. That's a lot to spend, anyway. :D

Hmm, did not consider that, but you are right that could happen, even if just as repaints. I would not expect them to also combine to Landcross or to have extra heads on both ends like the G1 ones though - and frankly would not want it either, remember how terrible most Energon Powerlinx combinations looked?

I honestly never even knew about them until like a few years ago when I checked the wiki. I always assumed they were animation errors like so many other things in G1. Or does this mean the Constructicon colored G1 Shockwave in Five Faces of Darkness is a special character too? :D

It's the best of both worlds. Now we can have a G1-accurate and an IDW-accurate Tailgate too.
And 3 versions of Windcharger, who still has got no characterisation at all since the Assault on the Ark marvel UK comic... :D  Seriously, IDW writers, give some personality to the guy finally. Look how well that worked for Trailbreaker/cutter!

I’d rather not to be honest :D

I think it’ll have ‘something’ to do with Landcross/Multiforce, but I could totally imagine those simply being Japanese (and maybe Store) remolds/repaints getting exclusive arm/leg accessories that the US Duocons don’t get.

I also think we’ll get Grand Slam/Raindance & Squarktalk/Beastbox released in this format too, it makes so much sense (and Hasbro hinted as much recently)

Huh. I think you are absolutely correct. Battleslash's pic is in fact the COMBINED Battletrap mode. The top half is predominately white in color with the bottom half entirely blue/purple like Roadtrap. Which I guess means that Battleclash is in fact a helicopter with a yet to be revealed robot mode and is predominately white in color. Nice find!

Yea I guess they are just stretching the females out since females probably don't sell as fast (except to fans). Or I'm sure that's what they are thinking at least. That Moonracer looks incredible though.

I think it's all down to retooling and not wanting retools in the same wave as originals. We already know one Dinobot and shares parts with another, so they aren't in the same wave, ditto the Powermaster jets and the Terrorcons - the remaining two Terrorcons use parts from the remaining two Dinobots.

So the expectation is they'll be some similar for the Fembots. Trying to use Moonracer or parts thereof for all four might be pushing it though....

Alternators Meister and Grimlock appeared in Walmart's systems as "Camshaft" and "Freeway", respectively, while back in 1999, Beast Wars Transmetal 2 Jawbreaker, a hyena, was listed by Walmart as "Kangaroo".

Two fixes courtesy of the newly discovered Amazon listings:

    • The Battletrap component is named "Battleslash", not "Battleclash".
    • Tailgate's Hasbro product code number is E1159. Roadtrap's is E1158.
    • I originally screwed up Roadtrap's check digit: It's actually a 0 (630509695270), not a 7.
