Has anyone used or seen these upgrade kits. They seem to look ok but going by packaging, which is very basic, I wonder at the quality of these units.

 

I got their black version of the optimus prime torso upgrade. Maybe not as good in quality as the Perfect Effect version but it works quite well.

The hands and feet from these guys aren't nearly as good as the previous KO ones. The ankle joints are nice and tight but the two halves of the feet have a significant gap between them.

I just sucked it up and spent the $22 from Unclebilly.

 

Got my PC-03 in. The fucking head doesn't fit. I don't know how they screwed that up.




Don't buy this set.

Yes. Works fine. This thing would be an absolute hit if it fit.

I don't even see how it was supposed to fit on there?

 

Just to clarify, when you say it doesn't fit, are you saying there isn't enough space internally? I mean, can it be modded to make it work?

 

I got the official version a few years back. The head can fit in, it's just that the antennae paint can be scraped off due to the narrow space. That's why I choose not to store the head inside. That might be the same reason for the post.

 

In that case I'd probably be fine with it. My combiners tend stay in combiner mode, anyway.

I've been thinking of getting an alternative head for CW Superion, and I'm thinking this might work for me.

 

The attachment is too wide to fit on the neck post. I currently just have it sitting there.

I tried using paper to help it stay in there but, no avail.

Just get the real PC-03.

 

I drilled a hole through the neck piece on the head that sits right above the hole in Superion's neck peg and shoved the handle of a lego katana with the sword bit cut off through and it works fine. The quality is pretty shit and the antenna at least on mine were floppy and needed tape around the pegs to even stay up. The chest piece was fine though, but the plastic, again isn't the greatest.

 

Mine aren't floppy but, they won't hesitate to fall off.

I thought about drilling, too.

 

It looked like the clips that keep them on were crushed at the factory or something on mine. I put a little square of clear tape in between the connection and they work fine now, might keep yours from falling off.

If you have something that's about 3mm you don't even have to drill into Silverbolt, just the neck piece on the head. Just slide it down and it'll hold with friction.

 

I bought 3 KO PC-08 set... And I can said: I'm so glad to not buy the original PerfectEffect?

Why? Any review or user said that thi kit only permits a Unic Position of the legs! Holy cheat...

I will try cut of some plastic and see what is possible to do...

Just want to confirm my AMO PC-03 head also doesn't stay attached.

Chest is fine.

 

Can anyone help me track down an AMO version of PC-08 in Black (like Scourge/Nemesis Prime) I had one ordered but the wrong one arrived, and now having trouble obtaining one. Thanks if you can help!
