After looking at this thread, I think unique toys needs to make a MP Arcee that transforms like this. It is probably the only way to successfully make an Arcee that looks good in both modes.

Invertibot seems appropriate. I'm thinking this type of transformation twchnique could solve a few issues with Transformers with multiple alt-modes.

 

I hope Sentinel prime could get a a bit of InvertiBots™ goodness.

Edit: cuz. His vehicle is basically a Brick that has a wheel. This type of transformation would would work perfectly.

Sorry but I fail to see the point of this. It's still a transformer, or a bayformer. There isn't really a need at all for a new name for this. If a name doesn't come to you organically, it's not going to stick.

Because it's the ONLY option that makes sense to anyone outside these boards without having to explain it or refer to Peru Kill.

 

Now that I think about it, terms like "shellformers" and "partsformers" carry a degree of negative connotation to them. In a sense that they're not fully deserving of the name "transformers" due to perceived inadequacies in their design.

Another example would be gcreation's optimus...I'm sure I've seen it referred to as a "panelformer" somewhere.

Conversely, we don't have terms to refer to well designed transformers in the past. Examples like Dotm's optimus, fpj's smart robin, FT's stomp etc. all had that special spark in their design that made them stand out, but they're still just transformers. Well designed transformers.

If anything, I would start referring to future transformers with a clever design scheme like this as ut's perukill style, or just peru/perukill style transformer. Anything else just feels forced and tacked on.

I like 'transposers' and 'transposition', since transpose is a synonym of invert and means 'cause two or more things to switch places', so the robot parts go from the inside to the outside and the vehicle parts from the outside to the inside. There are a few official TF's that use this kind of transformation in part, I'm thinking mainly of Evasion Mode Optimus.
