No worries, it's a good alias :)  It also inspired my Dr Strangelove quote!

Optimus Timelord should be the director for the next live action TF movie.

    That Huffer/Hoist gif is hypnotic.

Something was said earlier about walk/run cycles being hard to do. Personally I quite enjoy doing them (I've been doing them for so long I just got used to doing them)

Sorry for the sideways profile. It'll be corrected later

Well that latest video has got almost as many views in under a month as my oldest video has had in two and a half years! Thanks to all who watched/liked/subscribed.

I realised there's a few shots in there that I haven't Giffed (is that a word? :lol ), so here's some good ol' Cybertronian dogfighting for ya!

I think all your work is fantastic but I really like how you captured the wing vibrations here.

    Thanks!
Glad you said that, it's one of those little details that I could almost have not bothered with and I don't think folks would have noticed, but for the sake of that extra frame it does add dynamism to the shot.
    Hoorah! Well done! :thumb
    Cheers bud!
    :lol
Thanks dude :)  With the right props to support things I find flying shots to be quite easy. These ones took far more work on the toon backgrounds (as there are multiple moving frames to remove the cell drawings from, as opposed to the usual single frame backdrop). I basically reconstructed the passing wall frames (with added motion blur) and rebuilt the Cybertron horizon (with added blur for depth), and then of course had to recreate the laser blasts to layer on top of my photos. Phew!

For those who have been paying attention, you'll know I resisted getting MP Megatron (in the hope that a more MP5-ish silver version with old style faction logo would eventually appear)... Then he sold out and I didn't have any choice but to continue to wait... Then KOs got announced, all with the same deco...

Then, suddenly this week he's back in stock. I decided to bite the bullet; to pull the trigger, if you will. Literally the first thing I did (after making sure he was all present and correct) was to get rid of that squashed pink thing they call a faction symbol. And sure enough he now fits in great with the other MP Cons. I don't even mind the lack of silver so much in person (instead it's actually the lack of black for fusion cannon/waist/legs that stands out, which I had hardly noticed in pictures). But this is a great figure, and does indeed blow away the 3rd party versions, even with the slightly monotone colour palette!

Anyway, so here's one of those occasional remakes I do of old gifs. Apollyon no more...

Answering my own question from the other thread... it does mean what I thought it meant!

Such a heroic shot!  How did you get rid of the faction symbol without damaging the undelying paint?

I was a bit worried... Used small amounts of surgical spirit on a cotton swab to rub the symbols off (it takes a good few minutes of back and forth to gradually take off the tampo paint). Tested it out on the hidden symbols (that end up on the sides of gun mode) and that worked, so I went for it on his chest and am so glad I did!

Indeed yes, and some patient rubbing! I tried to just use really small amounts and keep it moving constantly across the whole piece using multiple buds (just in case there was any effect on the bodywork). Eventually the purple starts to fade, then eventually it wears away.
