    Hey folks,

Just a quick question, I've received a G1 Red Alert (it's definitely a G1, no reissue or KO) however the weapons stood out a little to me. They seemed a shade lighter than usual, and perhaps a little bulkier. I dug out another Red Alert (picture shows the two variations) and the missile is definitely a little draker, has a slightly longer peg at the end. Also the new missiles are connected to the rung at both ends, whereas the old ones were only connected at one end.

Any idea where these diefferences come from? I thought they might be commemorative accessories rathe than original G1s. I also have some Grapple accessories that are similar (being slightly bulkier and not quite the same). Anyone have any thoughts?

I don't have a definitive answer but I agree with your thinking that it may be from the Commemmorative series. It makes the most sense.

They could be from an IGA version the paints were always different maybe some of the weapons are to.

I know on the commemorative sets missiles were changed for safety reasons but i have never heard that the non firing weapons were altered.

If I had to guess, they're from the Commemorative Series Red Alert.

This photo shows the sprue connection residue on both ends of the missile, which I think matches the ones you posted.
