Ask Cartoon Network. Because apparently it's working well for them.

Arrow pointing down for this company and our brand, but our brand will survive. I look forward to getting actual TransFormer movies someday.

I cannot wait for oversaturation of this kind of cartoon to cause the genre to crash and burn. As it is, TTG type zany comedies are cheap, and appeal to children who are still dumb enough to be eating dirt.

Even though Paramount isn't doing so well, Viacom is just fine with their Spongebob lifeline

I'm just glad they're possibly breaking up with Cartoon Network. Cartoon Network has never treated the franchise well and maybe Nick will be better? We'll see.
I've been reading mixed things about Nick lately though. They're having a similar problem to the TTG thing except with Spongebob; but there's also signs of improvement there as well with Loud House and other shows.

    We'll see.

Because the executives don't actually understand the cartoons. They see shit like TTG is popular, they think that bandwagon jumping fast enough will translate that popularity into driving toy sales.

They've completely done a 180 from where we were 7 years ago. Something's gone horribly wrong and the 'creative consultant' angle that was so proudly touted as a success by the Transformers films and then even moreso with the MLP revival has been abandoned wholesale. What used to be a policy of change and growth has instead turned into stagnation and retreading ground known to be successful in the past.

I don't know how... but virtually every new conversation about a new TF cartoon turns into, "I hates TTG! :mad "

I think a lot of people are pretty uptight about shows that are silly and self-mocking. Lots of "I prefer drama!" type of comments, and it's pretty disappointing. Because a drama is somehow more serious and therefore more relevant than a program meant to make you laugh.

I understand the over-saturation leading to loathing, but this prevailing disgust toward the type of humor in TTG is akin to how cars only come in 3 "colors" nowadays: white, gray, and black. :(

The same way a PINK Transformer will fail for "not being realistic enough" is how everyone hates TTG. Well, this may be a shock, but you don't have to be stupid or "eat dirt" to enjoy TTG or a brightly colored TF!  Man, some of you guys are uptight about these things...

I love animation, but damn I'm there with you on wanting the current trend to die so creative teams can move on to something better. These days when I want to watch cartoons it's either some old classics or it's anime because American animation just seems so bad. Even the adult cartoons are fizzling out because I can't remember the last time when I found Family Guy or the Simpsons funny.

It's not even that I hate wacky and zany because I loved thing like Animaniacs. But Teen Titans Go, ouch that is painful bad.

This is my actual beef with TTG which I actually don't mind too much. Look, say what you want about TTG and it's stupid jokes but it can have some entertaining episodes and cool easter eggs once in a while. IMO, the show itself is not the problem. It's 1. Cartoon Network's dumb decision to air nothing but TTG every single damn day of the week and 2. CN and now maybe Nick trying to replicate TTG's success by making other reboots follow the same formula and failing at it. People. Want. Variety. Cartoons shouldn't be just dumb comedies or just dark action shows. There's a place for both types of cartoons and everything in between and I hope Nick keeps this in mind with the new TMNT reboot and possibly TF: Cyberverse.

For 5 years, that doesn't sound bad at all. That's pretty much the potential life time of the Cyberverse toon, and the movies are planned out through that long anyway if not longer.

And I wouldn't bash the creative consultant angle either. Good material is still coming, and it's not like channels don't try to imitate their own success thinking they can do it themselves. Not sure why that'd get blamed on any singular consultant when that's Channel practices originally in general.

TTG is CN anyway. TMNT is Nickelodeon/Paramount/Viacom. So this bodes well for us if Cyberverse is likely to go more towards TMNT and less like CN's standard slapstick. Viacom also has wider outlets to better cater material. They have a children's channel, a teen channel, the normal channel, etc. So they can better direct the material to the outlets best suited for it. If anything, this increases the likelihood for more media to cover wider tastes.

Cyberverse is already well into development anyway. Think of it more like Wolverine and The X-Men with how it was a nicktoon still, but also still maintained a different kind of tone than slapstick comedy.

To answer the question of what they are doing to TMNT ( Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles):

Raphael is now the oldest brother and LEADER of the Turtles

Leonardo is second oldest and is cool and precocious (think RiD2015 Sideswipe)

Donatello is basically the same, just with a little more attitude

Michelangelo is the youngest and a fun loving artist

    April is now African- American

    CAST:

    Raphael-Omar Miller
    Leonardo-Ben Schwartz
    Donatello-Josh Brener
    Michelangelo-Brandon Mycal Smith
    April- Kat Graham
    Splinter- Eric Bauza

I DO NOT want this to happen to Transformers

Yeah. You want to watch something like RID or Justice League action you'd better have your DVR set for the right time, or you are shit out of luck. Want to watch TTG, hey it's on six hours a day at least.

By next level in their relationship, does he mean they\'re going to have sex now?

But seriously, maybe one of the things they agreed on was, no more stupid nonsense shit in the movies.
