The same thing happened to me as well.   The TRU US website was appalling to order from. I think I'll keep both, but I'm going to see about getting them to combine the orders so that I'm getting free shipping instead of paying double shipping. I can always sell the extra at cost or perhaps trade for Grotusque, which would be great, it'd mean that I wouldn't have to go through this crap again if/when he goes up for sale.

 

I'm thinking I'm just gonna keep both as well. This thing was such a pain in the ass to get a hold of I'll keep the other MISB.

 

I don't think an MISB Arcee is worth keeping it's just a black box with an Autobot comet on it.

 

Some collector's idea of MISB is an unopened shipping carton.   Who can say what that Arcee will be worth in 10-20 years when someone's grown kid sees it and spaces out remembering his Mom or Dad buying him his beloved but now worn/lost/broken one?

And like he said, it was such a ball-ache to get one that it's nice to have another trophy for the wall. 

 

I'll cleanly cut the tape on the box so it can be opened an displayed, but I won't remove the figure or it's cards from the trays.

 

That's a good idea but there is no plastic cover on the figures they're just strapped to a tray.

 

I put in an order at TRU and really hope they are good for it, because I am unable to check my order back on their website but the money is locked on my card.

Would be very disappointing to have my order screwed up, after all that hassle. Never thought that in this modern age an online purchase process can be this problematic and frustrating! Too used to Taobao I guess... but for the trouble I can get 2 instead of 1 if I paid the increased price at robotkingdom plus their ridiculous shipping cost.

I'm in Australia, but my middle man said the locked funds got unlocked, not taken, and all he has heard is about a shipping delay

 

It doesn't ship until November 7th

You should be fine. The shipping delay is the standard response from them on pre-orders and the funds were only a holding charge so it will come out of your middle man's account when it ships on the 7th. Just a little over a week to go. It's too bad you have to go through all this trouble to get one though.

 

I got charged for both my orders(it charged me for two seperate orders, but I confirmation for both of them) so it better not charge me again. Especially considering the tight spot I am at right now.

 

Hurm. So I just received an email from TRU stating that they are unable to fulfill my order and have therefore canceled the order. Anyone else get this email?

decided to try and make another pre-order. i'm guessing it's because either it was so long since it was ordered or because I added a rwby minifig for free shipping, and they only sent that instead of waiting... who knows, but imma be fuggin furious IF I DON'T GET ONE!!!! I TOOK OFF WORK FOR TAT PREORDER!!!!

 

Also got the cancel email. This is crap.

I ordered one from HTS, got it, it was defective...... HTS couldn't replace it so I got a refund and went and ordered one from TRU, now that is canceled. Great. So now I get to pay scalper/online retailer marked up price if I still want the figure. Thanks Hasbro.

Sounds like a mess all round. I'm happy with my generations one. Can't see myself ever getting this. I'm not pushed but I feel sorry for those being messed about.
