    Agreed 100%.
Our world hates our own immigrants, why the hell would it be any more welcoming of those who aren't even the same species, let alone from another world? Thats why I hate when people complain about how the world treats the transformers in this series. Sorry for the wake up call, but the hostility the world has towards the transformers is the most realistic part of the films, and I don't think that should go away any time soon. With what's going around in the world right now, this theme should continue to be explored.

Also, this film breaks the stereotype of the Autobot. Just because they fight for the greater good doesn't mean that they all have to be the goodie-two-shoes type of heroes. They have had their kind slaughtered by those they fought for, of course they're upset and have every right to be! Especially Optimus.

Then, pretend it's not canon, or at least it's own standalone film.
    Take Highlander, for instance.

The original was, still is, and will always be the best. It didn't need sequels, but they came anyway.
The Quickening is just a terrible film, period. There's nothing redeeming about it. 2: The Renegade Version is a fun romp if seen as a standalone. (No seriously.)
The Final Dimension is a rehash of the first film, but Mario Van Peebles has fun doing it, doggone it. Some great fight scenes, too.
Endgame is a bit trickier, it does indeed reference the first film and even includes continuing plot pieces and characters, but it's good on its own. (Just do your best to pretend the original doesn't exist when watching this one.)
The Source, never, ever watch it. It's terrible, it's worse than any BAD episode of the show and it's literally Highlander in name only. (Never ever watch this. TLK is Oscar-worthy by comparison.)

So, the first four films, one series. Consider TLK a spinoff, rather than a direct sequel. Pretend it's its own film and carry on. You'll be happier.

I enjoy these movies. After TF4 came out I just accepted that they're shit and just watched for the action. The last one was absolutely terrible but I had a good time watching it cause of how enjoyable the action was.

I liked AOE the first time I watched it. Idk why many people put it as the worst TF movie (before TLK comes out, lol)

I'm doing this exactly, because trying to adapt continuity for it brings a lot of pain and worrying for me! I extremelly hope that producers will do this as well, because continuing TLK events will cause even more mess and may execute Movies branch at all. I personally imagine TF6 starting with the scene where Cade wakes up and understands that it TLK was just his nightmare.
Agreed. Battles are unusually poor, short and messy. And there are only few actual battles, not just action scenes, most of them wasn't impressive or scary, like in previous Movies!

Battle scenes in TLK feels like not complete. It all ends very quick and abruptly (dinobots vs trf, bumblebee vs barricade, hot rod vs trf, london chase scene)
