hasbros current marketing scheme continues.. sell the crap first, create the demand, then hold out on the good stuff as long as possible. i knew this day would come. havent had any problem purchasing EVERY other deluxe in-store. why i refuse to order from some rip-off third party seller...

 

I'd just be happy seeing Deluxe Wave 2 on shelves. If I didn't know any better, I'd have thought there was only one wave of Deluxes for TLK.

On a side note, I really hope this is because no one is interested in the TLK figures rather than the prices. Seeing as how the PotP Deluxes are going to be $20 as well, I really hope they still sell. I want my Abominus...

 

I don't like to swear a lot ,but it's about damn time, hasbro. Really. I have just about had it with wave one. Unfortunately, this of course doesn't mean that all the wave ones are going to disappear but at least now we know wave 2 is a real thing and not a myth .

Moving from Oregon to Washington, sales tax was a hard pill to swallow. I only shop at TRU on Thursdays so I can get that 10% off (to make up for the sales tax).

Nope, not believing it, there is no such thing as a wave after wave 1 for this line's deluxes. Or wave 2 for it's voyagers.

 

I see this the day i found Scorn and Nitro in my target (i got Nitro btw cause I only had 30 usd).

 

Too bad I didn’t see any of these at my TRU with the exception of Berserker and Barricade. You can tell that they just restocked, too. It’s honestly disgusting that the stores in my area can’t seem to put anything out beyond Wave 1 for the deluxes. And I thought distribution for AOE was shitty.

Hey Hasbro! You know how everyone is excited about Cogman? Well, F*CK THEM! Let's make him a chase figure!  

 

How is 2 per case, when everyone else except for Bumblebee is 1 per case, a "chase figure"?

 

My local Walmart and Target are stuffed to the gills with wave 1 stuff. (Walmart in particular still has about 2 dozen wave 1 deluxes.) Unless I get super lucky on my monthly stop at TRU, I'm pretty much never going to find a Cogman without paying significant markup. Such a shame Hasbro (with the help of retailers who overstocked wave 1) blew this whole line.

 

In a normal situation, he probably wouldn't be considered such. However Barricades, Berserkers, and Bumblebees* from wave 1 are still clogging the shelves at many stores so these locations are likely to get very few, if any, cases containing Cogman. Even if they get him, if the demand for him is high enough, they will likely sell out pretty quickly and the others figures in the case will shelfwarm and prevent the retailer from ordering additional cases from the warehouse. So relative to the available figures on the shelves, he is likely to be at "chase level proportions." They could have ditched the repaints from AOE or the repacks of the already shelfwarming Berserkers and Barricades and replaced them with additional Cogmans and new Bees.

*I also suspect the new Bee will sit around since many parents and kids aren't likely to notice the fact it is a new mold.

 

There's no point in debating with the resident know-it-all. However I completely agree with you. All good points.

 

Funny how Hasbro waits till the movie hype is dead to release this figure.  Hell, I was at goodwill today and saw 2 TLK toys...

 

Cogman is my favourite of the TLK line. I'm glad to see that it has hit US shores. I recommend the toy to anyone who liked the character and who appreciates TF movie toys.
