As you can see, FTs/Dalianjj asked in the Sovereign thread whether there might be interest in Sovereign coming in Marvel colors. Since that thread isn't being as viewed by the broader community as it used to be, I thought I would repeat his question in a dedicated thread.

Just so we have a reference, here are G1 toy and Marvel comic digibashes of Sovereign done by @MajinSin .

So what do you think? Is there interest?

Not really interested in the comic or toy colors but would love a reissue of the original in toon colors.

I know two people IRL that need a straight reissue. I like the toy colors myself, not 100% sure I have the budget or the space for another Galvatron though.

Only if they use that silver they used on the first release's thighs.

I like the toy colors in the above pic, but to me cartoon Galvy is the color I want.

Toy colors would be for when I have extra money and nothing else I need to buy.

no thanks, FT should focus on their super slow to release new molds before Takara does theirs and I ask for refund like I did for Hoodlum.

Widely available for longer than a year: Does not buy.

Asks for reissue, reissue wish granted: Does not buy.

Release new stuff FT, we need a Blitzwing able to stand on his own, we need Astrotrain. Focus on what the stuff that needs to be released now and was held up because of TG. You snooze, you loose. Pleople had PLENTY of time to get their PO's in.

A Marvel/Toy color Galvs is just not going to sell well IMO. I'm sure it'll look cool, but really, how many would buy either over Blitzwing? Yeah, not many.

I personally think it's BS that the fans that buy your stuff have to wait on new stuff because of those individuals, that will likely won't buy the reissue anyway. Because excuses.

    NEW STUFF!

This could be cool. Prefer the Marvel colors to the G1 toy. Probably wouldn't buy it though. Too many other things on my radar, and limited funds.

So, the only people who deserve to buy an item near MSRP are the ones who jump on an item when it's on the market for a limited time. New fans, or people who take longer than you, deserve to pay 70% more for a used figure?
Because FansToys is apparently incapable of re-issuing and designing new figures at the same time, or something?

I'm gonna say no, even tho I spent more time with the toy and the marvel comic it's the movie version that screams galvatron to me, and my existing sovereign nails that magnificently.

I’d be interested in the toy version. I honestly don’t know if I’d buy it though.

I'll happily take a comics color version if that's my only chance at getting Sovereign for a reasonable price, but I would prefer a reissue of the original toon version. Of course, I wouldn't rule out buying both.

I'd love some melding of the comic and toy colors. The pale blue body of the comic, but with the red accents from the toy. Split the difference, best of both worlds. Who doesn't need Galvatron II?

No. Sovereign is visually the cartoon Galvatron, not the comic Galvatron. They aren’t identical other than colors, so repainting Sovereignjust makes an ugly Sovereign not a comic Galvatron.
