How does the 2 fair up? I know Fansproject did not release their version of Hardhead and I'm thinking of getting the Maketoys one to cover up the empty spot.

I can't find any reviews online that has the comparison, does anyone here have the headmasters from both companies?

Could mods help to delete this thread? Just found out that Maketoys is more to masterpiece scale. Silly me.

Well Maketoys are very G1 and Masterpiece scale while Fansproject are Classics scale and reimagined versions. Both really good toys in my opinion.

Thanks for your reply! Just found a photo of Chromedome from both companies, can't replace Hardhead with a much bigger one lol.

The Maketoys bots are about the same height as MP10 Prime. Way tall.

Might wanna consider the Unique Toys Hardhead to stand in with the other Fansproject headmasters.

Isn’t UT Hardhead tiny? Like, legend-sized?

That's what I have done with my set. FP Chromedome, Highbrow and Brainstorm with TW Hardhead. I also have FP Weirdwolf and Mindwipe with TW Skullcruncher. I think they look great together.

TW's Brainstorm was a bit weak compared to FP's version but I still have him as well. I think the Voyager size (especially for Hardhead and Skullcruncher) really works with the deluxe figures cause their mass reflects the large alt forms they have.

Couple them with PE's Fortmax and you have a kickass headmaster team. TW Fortmax was also a nice surprise that a lot of us were't expecting. Worth looking into either options.

The Maketoy headmasters look great but they are designed to fit in with MP figures. The extra details and articulation looks slightly out of place when compared to FP and TW headmasters which are more CHUG orientated IMO.

So disappointed in the TW Hardhead. Looks so awesome but just terrible in hand. Does not quite fit aesthetically with the FP ones.
