I want to revive our beautiful tradition of appreciation threads, which I enjoyed after DOTM and AOE release. Since today is Steve Jablonsky's birthday and his music is one of the things literally everyone appreciates, I decided to start this thread. What tracks do you like more? What features of Jablonsky's job do you especially appreciate? I adore all his TFs soundtracks, even TF5 has very beautiful touching things. I can't understand people, who praise only TF1 soundtrack, because other Movies have the same amazing music! For ROTF these are NEST theme, tragic theme, "I claim your sun" , Sam's finding Matrix of Leadership theme. For DOTM - Sentinel theme, highway chase, new "Arrival to Earth, "It's our fight". Tessa, Lockdown themes, "Autobots Reunite" , "Dinobots Rage" for AOE. Also TF songs (confirmed for New Divide and Battle Cry) was created under his influence. So, 85% music I humming day by day have at least some trace of Jablonsky style:D  I admire that his music fits the characters and scenes' atmosphere just perfectly! He feels Transformers spirit and helps us to feel it too. Live long and prosper, Steve!

He stands on my personal list of favorite composers, keeping space with John Williams and Hans Zimmer. So much of the reason I love these films is because of his work on them. Personally my favorite soundtrack is Revenge of the Fallen with TLK being a close second. Have more to say but I'll save it for when I've had more coffee. Thanks for starting this thread.

One track I got hooked on again recently, was "We were gods once," from the DOTM score. It's the music that plays as Sentinel Prime sets up and triggers the pillars in DC.

There's something decidedly retro about the synthesizers that Jablonsky uses, and I always liked how tense it sounded.

The music is uber awesome when you need to kick homework's ass or life's ass in general. Dark of the Moon's got the best fighting tracks, and TF07 and ROTF are riddled with elegant music. Infinite White is so hauntingly beautiful

The music is one of my favorite aspects of these movies. Dark of the Moon has the best out of all five movies in my opinion.

It’s awesome that we got a two-disc CD for The Last Knight, I wish we could get full scores for ALL the movies.

As much as I dislike the Bayverse movies, credit should be given when it's due; the soundtrack in the movies are great, to the point of where I think that the soundtracks deserves to be in better movies.

My favorite track would be Arrival to Earth, It's our Fight (From DOTM), and Lockdown's Leitmotif (From AOE).

There's a ton in the soundtrack I like, but one I especially enjoy is "Heed our warning" from the ROTF soundtrack.

The music is always fantastic. "Your Voice" from TLK is a new favorite.

TLK score is stupendous, I love “your voice” but “we have to go” I could listen to all day... maybe not all day, but once a day!

Without question the score of the live action films have been consistently pretty great. I think Dark of the Moon had the best score overall, but each score had its share of great tracks. Optimus, Battle, Autobots Reunite, just to name a few and Quintessa's theme is still till this day one of the creepiest tracks I've ever heard anywhere.

Even as a big fan of these movies, these scores are way too good for the films. I think it's collectively the most underrated film series score in history mainly because of how despised the films are. Compare the tracks to any MCU offering.

TLK's "We have to Go" is heaven to the ears.

Besides that, Dinobot Charge, Arrival to Earth, Lockdown's theme, The Battle, Sentinel's theme etc. are just fantastic tracks.

The quality of the scores is one thing consistent across all five movies. Each score captures the tone of the movies almost perfectly, and some do arguably perfectly capture the tone.

The first film's score captures the awe of seeing transforming robots for the first time.

Of all five films, I'd have to pick Revenge of the Fallen as having the weakest score, but even then it isn't of lower quality; it simply stands out less than the other four. Nonetheless, "I Rise, You Fall," and "Infinite White" are beautiful pieces.

The third film's score captures Sentinel's fall from grace and the all out war on Earth and Cybertron as well as the Space backdrop.

The fourth film's score is more alien and reminiscent of a larger, mysterious universe and captures the feeling of a dystopian world as well as the tough conditions the Autobots must face.

The fifth film's score also has a dystopian feel to it, although like the movie itself it feels less alien than its predecessor, and it also hearkens back to the medieval motifs in many ways.

So yeah, I'm a bog fan of Jablonsky's scores.

I think literally every thread in this board turns into a Jablonsky appreciation thread. Such wonderful music for such shitty movies! I mean like do these movies even deserve Jablonsky's Autobots theme? Hearing that on just the first movie's DVD menu just transports you. I haven't listened to AOE and TLK as much as the other three but they're still great.

    My top 11:

    1. Arrival to Earth - what else?
    2. Battle (DOTM) - if there was any track that could accompany a battle it would be this eponymous track. It also had an air of sadness to it that I felt hearing it, believing at the time that DOTM was the end.
    3. We Have to Go (TLK) - As bad as TLK was, this astonishing piece is just... wow. So beautiful. It says something that the piece from the worst film besides ROTF is #3.
    4. No Sacrifice, No Victory (TF1) - A calm yet epic breather after the end, and I promise I wanted to cry when I heard it at the end of TLK.
    5. Sentinel Prime (DOTM) - peaceful, majestic, beautiful. DOTM Sentinel had as much gravitas as Optimus himself and this theme didn't hurt.
    6. Heed Our Warning - I was disappointed it wasn't used in ROTF but holy shit did they make up for it in DOTM. Nothing else besides this John Carpenter-Jablonsky lovechild could've accommodated the Chicago massacre.
    7. Dinobot Charge (AOE) - Were the Dinobots underused as hell? Absolutely. Was their one scene cool? Hell yeah. The delicate beauty of this piece is that it's emotional but also epic as shit. It accompanies what I genuinely feared was Hound's last stand, Crosshairs admitting respect for OP, and a giant robot Spinosaurus flinging himself into a fight. Wow.
    8. Lockdown's theme - Mysterious, mechanical, scary. That's this in a nutshell. The soft part where Lockdown talks to OP was understated in how scary it was.
    9. Scorponok - You know that refrain.
    10. NEST (ROTF) - The sick guitar, the epic use of New Divide both on guitar and on horns, everything about this short piece is badass. It really got me pumped for the rest of ROTF, one of the most hype movie moments for me. Whether it was seeing new Autobots for the first time, Ironhide pull up, and then to see him transform, oh man this was fun and this track did it.
    11. It's Our Fight (DOTM) - i was just blown away by this fucking spectacle of a piece. Why can't all movie soundtracks be this good?!

    Other honorable mentions:
    * Frenzy (TF1) - that super scary, threatening piece is just oooooh.
    * Infinite White (ROTF) - gorgeous and beautiful.
    * Autobots Reunited (AOE)
    * Don't Give Up (ROTF) - especially for being a sad version of the Autobots theme.

Sure, Movies deserve all of this tracks, more than that, this music would not be so beautiful, if not those emotions and inspiration the Movies gave us!
