Wonder if that means he won't be doing Luthor's voice on Justice League Action anymore?

On a side note, loved him as Hades and in JC's Vampires

Well the show is ending after the current Season, so this is pretty much the light of the candle.

A talented actor with some fantastic roles in his resume, both on stage and screen.

I enjoyed his performances in ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA and HERCULES.

I'm sorry to see him retire, but he's had a long, worthwhile career, and he's earned it.

Guess he won't be Hades in Disney's inevitable live-action Hercules.

Agreed. Although it was fun to see him getting his ass kicked in Casino.

Almost thought that would happen if they did a Descendants 3.

I must have missed the memo: why is James Woods an asshole?

I'll only miss him as Hades, and there was always something special to me that he was one of the few film actors to always come back for the role. He even did it for theme park jobs and stuff where it probably didn't pay much. But then again, he hasn't exactly had anything else to do. But yeah otherwise Woods is not someone I'm fond of as a person.

I did mull over whether he'd be considered to play Hades in a live action Hercules, he could probably pull it off with some mo-cap or something.

    We actually agree for once!

Long story short, his personal life is pretty... questionable. Not even getting into his extremely divisive viewpoints which can't be discussed on here.

If I posted why it would most likely get deleted since we apparently can't speak about certain things here.

Well, glad he's not actually retiring -- I like some of the voice work he does.

But since the topic of this thread appears to be false, I'm locking this up now. (No need to worry about what you can and can't post, that way)
