If he did all those bad stuffs in DC and Marvel movies, like we seen him doing in Transformers, like bot name slapping, plot holes, sexual jokes etc, not only the film studios would kick him out, but the passionate DC and Marvel fans would burn down his house.

 

A lot of DC movies seem to be around the same quality so he might actually shine there.

I can see Bay doing a Lobo film, for instance.

I can't see any of the studios that have a superhero franchise being interested in Bay to begin with. It's not exactly some sort of Hollywood secret that Bay doesn't really do character so he's been confined to films that can get by on either the special effects or action.

Ha ha, maybe Universal could hire him for one of the monster movies since The Mummy was kind of a poor man's version of a Bay film.

 

That's arguable. The MCU is not exactly a titan of characterization. Several of them share the same arc. It's pretty much agreed that their villains are garbage. Sentinel Prime and Lockdown are better than probably 99%, and the others on par.

And yet DC hired Zack Snyder to oversee the entire DCEU, the man who had Zod & co. Locked up in penis pods.

Snyder is just Michael Bay trying to gift wrap his films as pieces of art. Bay knows what he's doing and doesn't try to hide it. He has no shame and that's more respectable.

Well Disney/Marvel will never get Bay to directed a movie with their brand, and Warner/DC maybe get him to directed a movie that's fits him perfectly.

 

Actually here's the thing. Bay made a SHITLOAD of money for everyone involved in Transformers films. TLK was the first to perform lower than expected. I think I am right in saying the majority of the transformers films especially AOE made more than the majority of DC and Marvel. If Bay made that kind of money for DC or Marvel, they might cringe a bit at some of the questionable choices, BUT I bet they bring him back.

The question forever will be...is it Transformers or Bay responsible for the winning in the financial department with these films.
would these films have made as much with an unknown director? who knows.

We will at least get a glimpse at this scenario when BB hits, but then again Knight is coming into a franchise 5 films old so it's apples to oranges.

I like to think Bay did a little more good than he did bad overall.

 

I don't know Guardians 2 felt like a watered down version of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen same humor, but better planned story, was generic to say the least. If James Gunn can do the same humor and get a way with it. Then so can Bay if he was interested.

 

No way. Marvel has way to many good Movies and the DC universe is just getting started. We don’t need bay To Fuck it up for Us, besides if he Ever Directed Justic Leaque Or Infinity was, you know it would be Trash

Bay certainly did bring in a lot of money, pissing over the box office of many much better movies. I've said before, Bay is a very effective Producer, it's directing and storytelling where he goes into the gray, sometimes through his choices and possibly sometimes through his lack of action (for example not shutting down Lorenzo.)

So it's been a good 10 years Transformers, moneywise. But what about the future? What damage have Bay and Lorenzo done going forward? I think much larger percentage of people saw through the marketing facade with TLK, will that trend continue? Even if it reboots will the Transformers brand have become stained to the masses?
